It's not often that we openly discuss our moments of self-doubt, but today, I want to share one of mine. Early in my career (2008), I was honored with an award at work and felt undeserving. This was the most prestigious employee award at Lockheed Martin, and I couldn't help but think that my contributions paled in comparison to those of my team members. They were the ones traveling all over the country, doing the work, while I quietly played my part back home researching our archives. I questioned if I truly deserved the recognition, and honestly, I only understood why I received it later in my career. I learned that we all have unique roles in a team, and each one is integral to success. My perspective shifted when I understood that my work, though different at times, was equally valuable. This experience pushed me to reflect on my contributions, refine my skills, and amplify my impact. Over time, I learned to accept recognition graciously, not as an individual achievement but as a testament to the collective strength of our team. So, the next time you find yourself questioning your worth, remember that you bring something unique to the table. Major props to one of the giants of ResProp Management, Angela Aguilar, celebrating her five-year anniversary with our team!  👉 Angela is a standout leader in so many ways. Most importantly, she’s a servant leader – she’s always hyper-attentive to the needs of the teams she leads, and digs in to help them get the work done – never afraid to dive deep and help push things forward. 💥But Angela is also a fierce competitor.  Think about the affect Michael Jordan had on anyone who played on the same court–he elevated everyone’s game. On Michael’s court, you can't just show up and play–you come and give it your ALL. 👉 Same with Angela – when she commits to anything, it instantly motivates the team and suddenly they find a new gear to complete something that was previously unreachable. It’s a pleasure to work with you Angela – it’s been great fun (with a huge dose of HARD WORK) to build out ResProp with you.  Last word here – Angela’s work ethic is unmatched. You literally have to peel her away from her work. This passion is infectious and again, is something that motivates everyone around her. While making an impact may be innate for some, it's a skill that can be cultivated. Here are key points to enhance your ability to leave a lasting impression: 1. **Active Listening:** Demonstrate genuine interest by actively listening to others, nodding, and responding thoughtfully. 2. **Positive Body Language:** Use open and confident body language to convey approachability and sincerity. 3. **Authenticity:** Be yourself and let your true personality shine, as authenticity often leaves a lasting impression. 4. **Express Empathy:** Show understanding and empathy toward others' experiences and perspectives. 5. **Confidence (Not Arrogance):** Display confidence in your abilities without coming across as arrogant. What do you want to celebrate? 🎉 Another week is gone, and with that the first month of the year, have you taken the time to celebrate yourself and your wins, big or small? Here are two ways you can acknowledge your efforts and truly recognize the significant milestones you've achieved without it feeling like a brag:     1️⃣ Reflect & share the journey   Pause and look at how far you've come. Recognize the dedication, resilience, and countless hours of hard work that went into anything that you've set your mind to. Acknowledge and share what you've done so far, the highs and lows. When you see the complete picture, instead of the achievements, you put everything in perspective.       2️⃣ Seek an external point of view   While working hard, it's easy to lose sight of what we've accomplished, we tend to see all the things that still need to be done. Ask your peers, mentors, or coach - they can provide an objective perspective on your achievements. Share your accomplishments with them and ask for honest feedback. Can they see the value and the impact of what you've done?      Celebrating your accomplishments doesn't mean boasting or seeking validation, but recognizing and acknowledging your hard work, building self-confidence, and embracing your growth.       So, pause, reflect, and recognize the remarkable things you've recently accomplished, no matter how big or small.     💜 Share them below and let's celebrate you together!

As Cop28 concludes in the UAE, we congratulate all those that worked together to achieve the historic UAE Consensus to accelerate climate action. Going forward, we will all need to play our part in converting these words into real and impactful actions. Dutch Foundations is working closely with our partners and clients to curb all emissions generated from our activities. It will be a long but rewarding journey towards Net Zero.
