Thought Breeder. Author: The 2 Hour Workshop Blueprint | Business Strategist + Keynote Speaker | Let's talk obnoxious strategy
Obnoxious strategy is waking up one day, thinking, “We should play the NRL opener in Las Vegas…” (Imagine sharing that vision with your team? I think I’d be the first to say, “Hell yes!”) Congrats to Peter V'landys on his risky strategy to attract a shiny new market to the game. Love this bold approach! 👏👏👏 The first principle in my book is, “Begin with the experience in mind”, Note— nothing about the game changed over the weekend. They simply moved locations. It’s stunning how you can create an epic experience by shifting WHERE you host something and challenging an assumption: ➡️ If an Aussie rugby league match can be played in Las Vegas, maybe your strategy day doesn’t need to be held around a table, either? (or, let me be completely obnoxious here: If you want me to run a workshop for you in Las Vegas, hit me up!!) #obnoxiousstrategy #innovation
Can confirm having watched the game at the Easts club yesterday, the excitement for the game was very much the same. I'm intrigued to know the results of viewership, interest etc outside the 40k attendance.
Bold leadership for sure! 👏🏻 I thought the same thing when he managed to find a way to bring back rugby league during COVID. Always looking for first mover advantage.
Nothing like putting it out there Leanne!
I’ll be there if you come to Vegas Leanne Hughes!

5moAgree with your points Leanne about nothing changing except location and that they are invested in the long game. I believe the only disappointment was for the fans who don't have Kayo or Foxtel because if you were in Brisbane, you only saw one instead of both games on free to air. Not sure if the same thing happened in Sydney.
