Consulting with businesses and coaching people to identify ways to collaborate and influence more effectively in order to succeed and drive growth!
How many times have you seen a "how to select your vendor, the X things you need to do in order to pick a successful one!" Usually stating how the "X" amount of things linked to their tech/services. Feels almost marking your own homework... 🤦♂️ To be honest it comes waaaay before the number of things you should be asking. For anyone in the process of selecting a vendor its about the first 15 minutes of the interaction. Its things like: 😁 How do they start the meeting? ❓ Do they ask a question like "before we rush into anything, whats the focus for you and whats stopping you to achieve this currently?" - This will help you to assess if they fit your culture - The vendor can then assess what you actually need For example; if the meeting starts with lots of "I's" and the response to the question has nothing to do with your goals... this is likely to continue into the partnership. First impressions last! Not everyone will be the right fit, but this is the point of finding the right vendor?
