UHN in Toronto moved from 4th to 3rd best hospital in the world, just behind #Mayoclinic and #clevelandclinic. What an amazing achievement… There are many insights that come to mind at the moment, but would like to share just one, which fills me with hope: I’ve been lucky enough to have worked for almost 10 years at 2 of the top 3 hospitals in the world (Mayo and UHN). Completely different organizations, mindset, processes, social/national circumstances, etc. Just completely different in almost any way. But both capable of achieving excellence at the highest level. Never think excellence is impossible! Let’s all do our best to contribute to the achievement of the highest possible level of excellence in our own environment! #medicine #medicina #excellence #excelencia #achievements #innovation #inovação #hardwork #team #trabalhoemequipe #esforço
UHN's Toronto General Hospital has climbed to third among the world's best hospitals in a global ranking from Newsweek magazine, its highest spot on the prestigious annual list! TGH's ranking behind only Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic, both of the United States, makes it the top publicly-funded hospital in the world. "This recognition is only made possible because of the collective efforts of #TeamUHN – the dedicated staff, physicians, researchers, learners, philanthropists, Board members and volunteers who everyday are committed to our mission of building A Healthier World." Thrilled to share that we are presenting at this year's Reimagining Primary Care Forum on April 23 in Cambridge, MA. We're seeing behavioral health needs higher than ever before. And that burden? It is felt first in primary care. That gets at the very reason we need to "reimagine" primary care - and it is what behavioral health integration is designed to solve. Join us* as we unpack that and explore how the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) bridges the gap between data and action. ➡ https://lnkd.in/eJgGTaDQ #ReimaginingPrimaryCare #RPCForum #PrimaryCare #CoCM *Register using code "Mirah10" for 10% off.

Congratulations Stefanie Newman MSN RN NEA-BC!! For those of us for whom this is greek The Magnet Recognition Program and Quality Improvement in Nursing Nursing excellence is crucial because it guarantees that more patients receive high-quality, long-term, and cost-effective care.[9] Institutions that receive the Magnet credential tend to have happier nurses, higher levels of patient satisfaction, and better clinical experiences or outcomes.[5] Hospitals seeking this accreditation must undergo a thorough on-site study and evaluation. Magnet provides a framework for quality improvement as well as a systematic method for involving employees in the decision-making and improvement process. This is an excellent resource for those wishing to inspire and drive their teams. Magnet designation benefits patients, nurses, and healthcare institutions.[10]
An incredible celebration today at Henry Ford Health West Bloomfield. They are now officially recognized as a Magnet Hospital!! Very proud of the hard work by Stefanie Newman MSN RN NEA-BC, Shanna J. and the entire team.

There is strong evidence to suggest that patients in palliative and end of life care settings greatly value the opportunity to participate in research. In the latest article in our Hospice Thought Leadership series, Professor Jon Wadsley, Trustee at St Luke's - Sheffield's Hospice explores the importance of research to improve end of life care at hospices. He explains how patients can help drive the national agenda, as well as some of the barriers and enablers to research in the hospice setting. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/e2eyeaV4

That's a wonderful initiative.👍. Even in Japan, AbbVie ‘s head office building turned on blue light during April, ( https://lnkd.in/gm-qzVKN ) but about other activities they only said "we didn't know" when I talked to them. And they also said that they would been banned to be direct to patients. Is it difficult in Japan? If they start doing it all over the world, I feel sorry leaving the sponsor only to abbvie. I hope we patients can also become effective stakeholders, but there is no system called fundraising, and it is not socially acceptable in Japan. ーーーーーーーーーーー About AbbVie in Parkinson’s At AbbVie, we are aiming to transform Parkinson's disease care and improve outcomes for those living with this progressive condition. We support individuals living with Parkinson's, addressing the physical, mental, and emotional impacts on their lives. With over 30 years of neuroscience experience, we collaborate to deliver products, education, and resources that preserve one's personhood. The World Parkinson Coalition is bringing the #ParkinsonReady Program to Vancouver, Canada. Together with PD Avengers, Parkinson Society British Columbia & support by AbbVie this program raises awareness about Parkinson’s and shows how a city can welcome and support members of the PD community. This program kicks off August 9th at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ex6ExTpE

Congratulations Center for Children's Advocacy and Yale New Haven Hospital for being honored by the Connecticut Hospital Association for your Medical-Legal Partnership team! Medical-legal partnerships (MLPs) are an innovative approach to delivering legal services by integrating legal expertise into healthcare settings. These partnerships address the social determinants of health, such as housing, access to benefits, and domestic violence, by providing patients with legal assistance alongside medical care. By identifying and addressing legal issues that impact health, MLPs improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance the well-being of communities. This holistic model of care fosters collaboration between healthcare providers and legal professionals, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive support to tackle both their medical and legal needs. #MedicalLegalPartnership #MLP #LegalAid #HealthJustice #AccessToJustice #HealthcareInnovation #LegalServices #PublicHealth #HealthcareCollaboration
