You shouldn't fear something that you don't know. This also shouldn't prevent you from reaching your true potential. (TIM GROVER) On the back of rejection, not being wanted or given a chance, this forced me to do something that I truly feared - go on my own. Benefits: ▶️ I am my own boss and keep learning daily ▶️ In 8 months, I have earnt more than I would have done in a year of employment ▶️ My network has become so influential amd grown with amazing people ▶️ I learn new things daily Challenges: 🚩 It's lonely being on your own 🚩 The travel, the staying over - its exhausting 🚩 It can be overwhelming 🚩 Knowing how my books work / actually running a business 🚩 The hours Everyday, I am grateful for the day that at the time, was the worst in my career. This post isn't about bragging, it's to show that there are always options, a way and a different path no matter how difficult it may seem. There could be 99 reasons not to do something and only 1 why you should - FOCUS ON THAT 1 REASON WHY YOU SHOULD. Yes, this isn’t your standard Linkedin post, but if this could help someone else take the right step towards better living, then mission accomplished! I did it. I achieved the goal I had set for myself: 10% body fat by 50. I’ve always been an active, athletic person, but with age came new restraints, and my body made sure to inform me of my new limitations. It was disheartening to say the least… no more 10Ks, no more rigorous exercise, it was over. Or so I thought. Through my research into wellness and longevity, I stumbled upon the wonderful Harjit Bahia and her company LONGEVITY, who helped me recapture the vitality that I mistakenly thought I’d lost. By focusing on multiple pillars of longevity, including nutrition, stress, sleep, movement, and community, I was able to get back in the driver’s seat. This isn’t a bragging post, nor is it an ad per se. It’s a thank you letter to the brilliant team at LONGEVITY and Harjit Bahia, the latter whom I will be working with on my next venture: ZOI. Our objective? To establish a data-driven, informed, monitored and measured approach to health, leveraging the latest technology, and empowering people to become the CEOs of their own health. We’re excited to bring this to all of you!

Thank you for your service 🇺🇸 Attributes of Selflessness: Humble – Honest self-assessment. Finding as much pleasure in the accomplishments of others as in my own. Courageous – Accepting personal risks to benefit others and causes I believe in. Respectful – Treating others with dignity and civility, even when I disagree with them. Teachable – Allowing others to teach, correct, and challenge me. Generous – Willing to make personal sacrifices for the good of others. Trusting – Expecting the best from others; accepting measured risks to let them prove trustworthy. Caring – Demonstrating kind, compassionate concern for the success and well-being of others. Just – Standing up for the fair, dignified treatment of all others regardless of my personal affinity for them.

Ravi Garg my friend from, the Executive Leadership program by Rakesh Rana♟️ has posted a wonderful article on being grateful. I just wanted to add another point through #friendship to remain Grateful and practice gratitude. The circle of good friendship is so strong that one can only remain grateful throughout lifetime. It has immense power to amplify the positivity quotient surpassing all useless thoughts. To quote an example, a meetup of college Alumni after 2 decades evoked fun and painful events of adventurous college days. Surfing though these conversations an AAHA moment surfaced when one of us explained about his Forgive and Forget (that persona) practice to all unexpected, unpleasant events and people. The benefits of such experiences cannot be underestimated in a friend circle and I must remain grateful on this circle of everlasting strengths. Ask this to self, if I remain grateful to all those friends who have seen you, taken care of you, challenged you, referred to you to jobs, promotions, contacts for business growth, even help you get to your partner, list goes on... IF they wronged you, IF they don't respond, don't let your mind flushed up with doubts or grudges. Instead Forgive them and Disassociate the person from that #persona. We cannot know what was going through in their minds. But appreciate that human mind just "wants " thoughts" to be addressed and can take a shortcut to get that processing of thought. When you do this sort of gratitude practice, your mind shall choose to empty the unpleasant thoughts and help builds up a stringer the circle of control, impact and Influence. Its TRUST. I am so grateful for my LI colleagues. Thank you for your connection, responses, and input. Your support means a lot, especially on those days when I feel disconnected, distracted, and alone. We all have days like that... which leads me to my next point ... What is your intention for 2024? What would you like to do more of or less of? For me, 2024 will be a year of doing less work and more life. There are points in your life where your path changes. I feel like I'm at a fork in the road now. I want more time for friends, family, and hobbies. I want to work with clients who are attracted to my content and delivery style and already understand the meaning and value of leadership communication. I want to group coach more, do more virtual, and present in person less. I want to laugh and play more and be frustrated less. I want to stop fighting with technology. What do you want to do less of this year?
