🔆 Digital IT Recruiter sharing job search tips no Hiring Manager tells you about.

"I don't approach candidates with weird profile pictures," said the Hiring Manager and missed out on a great candidate that 100% matched their job opening. In a world where looks open and close many doors for us, there is one thing I would like Hiring Managers to reconsider. Their approach to evaluating profile pictures. It would solve the problem of insufficient qualified candidates. 👌🏻 A selfie can be fine enough 👌🏻 A picture from an industry event too 👌🏻 Picture showcasing one's hobby as well 👌🏻 No picture - I don't mind The pressure to have the perfect profile picture is so high that some choose what they have to show something at all. Let's appreciate that and I am sure we will have a few more qualified candidates to approach 🙌🏻 What do you think? #profilepicture #bewerbungsbild #bewerbungsfoto #picture #smartistone

On the other side the message for candidates is: get the best shot vailabe to not be overseen by a recruiter that isn’t aware of his biases! And for recruiters: do the same to not be misjudged by candidates 😜

I prefer a well-organized visually captivating resume, one that looks like some thought and effort went into it, one that clearly highlights the skill set/competencies/ qualifications I'm looking for than a 'perfect picture' 😊
