You can't miss tomorrow's COST_TEATIME webinar! I will talk about the role of #Metadata in nonclinical, in-vivo biomedical research and animal welfare. We defined a minimal set of metadata (MNMS) that can be shared across all in-vivo biomedical experiments. This solution is bound to have a large, positive impact on biomedical research, animal welfare, and behavior discovery! Now is the moment for us to fully exploit the global potential hidden in our data. Let's openly share it using interoperable formats, fostering a global community of researchers who can flourish together through collaborative efforts. Following the MNMS we will empower in-silico discovery, revolutionizing the way we approach scientific advancements and embracing the principles of Replace, Reduce, and Refine! Link to register: https://lnkd.in/eBQpYwA3 Paper: https://lnkd.in/eGfSrqp5 #3R #animalwefare #reproducibility #opendata Co-authors: Stefano Gaburro, PhD, CCP | Anastasios Moresis | Eoin O'Connor | Alexandra Bannach-Brown, PhD | Giorgio Rosati | Gunnar Flik | Sophie Bromilow | Fabrizio Scorrano Many thanks to Vootele Voikar and COST_TEATIME for the invitation! PS This is what a generative AI produces when the input is: nonclinical research, and metadata :)

The #mdcBerlin is getting on #BOARD24! "𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗" stands for 𝗕e 𝗢pen about 𝗔nimal 𝗥esearch 𝗗ay. This global social media campaign is organized by the European Animal Research Association (EARA) and supported by the wider biomedical community, both public and private. Below, you will find several #research findings from some of our labs that would not have been possible without animals. Transparency about #AnimalResearch is a fundamental value for us, as it is for #EARA, all of its members, and participants of today's campaign. Get on #BOARD24! It's Microphysiological Systems Monday! Microphysiological systems (MPS) are currently considered most promising for early discovery studies prior to animal research and for use in conjunction with animal or human models. If you aren't sure what an MPS is, or you want to become more familiar with a specific organ model, our Microphysiological Systems initiative has created a webinar series that provides an introduction to MPS and an overveiw of nine different organ systems. Founder @ Lab4Paws | Animal Biospecimens for Pharma/Biotech R&D | New therapies & diagnostics for animals | Less animals in human research
I had to read the title thrice before understanding it. Yes, because in their last paper, Ludwig et al. make a point that Adhesive Tape Impression (ATI) is better than trichogram and Wood's lamp for the fungal culture for diagnosis of dermatophytosis. What to say, in today's technological world, sometimes is the beauty of the simple things that impresses us. If you ever wondered what ATI is, here is a guideline from the University of Bristol: https://lnkd.in/ecgPPW58 Here is the link to the article: https://lnkd.in/eCBRUqCV Want to know what the top 5 mistakes in preclinical animal health studies are?
