Earlier this month, our CHRO, Puneet Rajput spoke at the esteemed People Matters Tech HR event in Delhi about the transformative impact of AI on employee experience. The panel deliberated on a few interesting topics emphasizing on the need for a mindset shift among CXOs to prioritize Generative AI (GenAI) as a top agenda item. Puneet highlighted that every business undergoes an evolution, and AI technology needs to evolve in tandem with business changes. She stressed the importance of having a well-defined strategy and organizational readiness to maximize ROI from AI technologies. Without these, the potential benefits of AI might not be fully realized. On the topic of change management, Puneet advised that different functions within an organization may have varying AI needs. To address this complexity, she recommended keeping the approach simple and involving business managers throughout the process, while HR should take ownership of the overall strategy. #techinhr #techhr #AIrevolution #employeeexperience

Before you rule out #AI in #HR as potentially detrimental, ask yourself: "Do I understand how #AI can be used responsibly and ethically in HR?" If the answer is no, then it's crucial to explore how AI, when properly implemented, can actually support and elevate human resources functions rather than undermine them. The aim isn’t to automate HR out of existence: 👉Eliminate the need for HR professionals. 👉Make all HR decisions purely #datadriven without human empathy. 👉Strip away the personal, human touch from employee interactions. The aim is to empower HR with AI by: 👉Streamlining administrative tasks to focus more on #strategy and employee engagement. 👉Enhancing #decisionmaking with #analytics without removing human discretion and #empathy. 👉Personalizing the #employeeexperience more efficiently, from recruitment to retirement. "AI in HR should be viewed as a powerful ally— a tool that, when used thoughtfully, can enrich the human aspects of HR rather than diminish them." Ultimately, the integration of AI in HR is about leveraging technology to complement and enhance the human elements of the profession, ensuring HR can devote more time to what truly matters: Building a #supportive, #engaging, and #inclusive workplace culture. The question: is HR ready for genAI? The answer is a bit more complicated than yes or no. While adopting AI solutions is critical for modern HR departments, many have not fully embraced this yet. Organizations face three main challenges: distinguishing between AI transformation and transition, designing AI to meet employee needs, and recognizing that AI adoption is a long-term strategy. This calls for developing a digital mindset to foster an AI culture and align HR team visions. HR leaders must define clear success metrics, implement governance to nurture a GenAI culture, and view 'change' as a strategic approach. According to a Gartner report, 76% of HR leaders are concerned about falling behind without AI adoption in the next 12 to 24 months. To succeed, HR teams should thoughtfully integrate GenAI into broader strategies rather than relying on it as a standalone solution. #HR #AI #digitalHR

Pradipta said, "There are people who are fighting AI and there are people who are adopting AI. Those who adopt will thrive and those who fight will stay behind!" Ayaskant's take on the accessibility of tech and its benefit did come with a caution, "We should take technology as an enabler not decision maker."
