🌟 Did you know that the first person considered a computer programmer was a woman? 🌟 As we step into Women's History Month, we're excited to launch a special campaign highlighting the incredible women who have shaped the course of technology. While names like Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, and Katherine Johnson may already be familiar, their pioneering work is just the tip of the iceberg, and our mission this month is to bring to light those whose achievements haven't been as widely recognized. 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 👩💻🚀 Throughout March, join us as we explore and celebrate the stories of lesser-known female pioneers in tech—both from Switzerland and around the globe. Here's a reminder to never give up and never believe there's something you can't do! Take this advice from Beate Chelette, a Growth Architect and Founder of The Women’s Code who sold her business to Bill Gates. “If I see others do something, I know it must be possible. If it is possible, then I will find a way to do it.” This sounds simple. And that’s exactly what she has done. Read about Beate’s experience on our blog: https://lnkd.in/giBwyDiR This throwback to one of our published interviews is a reminder of our mission at Gal Talks Tech. Technology is one of the key factors that allows women to be visible and present, today and in the future. Tech is a tool for new opportunities – to overcome geographical or workplace challenges, create new businesses or transform daily lives. We at Gal Talks Tech think it’s important for women to see other women working in tech or tech-related jobs. That’s why we spotlight diverse success stories – one interview at a time. Introducing women in tech worldwide is our way to show you can become one too. Because you can’t be what you can’t see. #womenintech #technology #tech

As we step into Women's History Month, it's vital to recognize and celebrate the monumental contributions of women in technology. From Ada Lovelace, who laid the groundwork for computational algorithms, to modern trailblazers shaping the future of AI, cybersecurity, and beyond, women have been instrumental in driving innovation and progress in the tech industry. However, the journey is far from over. Despite significant strides, women still face underrepresentation and challenges in tech. This month, let's not only celebrate the achievements but also foster an environment where aspiring female tech professionals feel empowered to pursue their passions, innovate, and lead. Let's commit to mentorship, advocacy, and creating inclusive spaces that encourage diversity of thought and innovation. By supporting each other, we can break barriers and build a more equitable tech industry for future generations. Here's to the women in tech: your resilience, creativity, and vision inspire us all. Let's continue to challenge the status quo, support one another, and drive forward with courage and determination. Happy Women's History Month! 🚀💻👩💼 #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInTech #Empowerment #Innovation #DiversityInTech

Founder and Chief Visionary at Wonder Women Tech, 2024-2025 Obama Foundation USA Leader, Keynote Speaker, Duke Corporate Educator, hackathon and programs designer, and passionate about humanity and global impact.
Ten years later... Wonder Women Tech is still innovating and creating impact. I remember so many meetings we had in my living room, whiteboarding ideas, floor plans and papers strewn about, and a small group of us making plans. I remember the beginning of this journey, producing the Hacks 4 Humanity hackathon at ASU and talking to my sweet friend, Michelle Patterson, who told me to build something similar for women--and Wonder Women Hacks was born. Then Wonder Women Tech... The long nights, working around the clock, sending out thousands and thousands of emails, and the calendar filled with back-to-back meetings. Back then I personally spoke with every speaker, every company, every human who expressed interest. I didn't have a life outside of building WWT. I literally did nothing else but dream and build and plan and execute. I worked so hard I fainted on the flight to our first London conference in 2017, hitting my head on the back of a chair and falling unconscious. I worked through a TBI and concussion and had to leave day two of my event to go to the hospital. I never fully recovered my previous brain power. It takes me just a little longer to think through my ideas, but I am full of so many you would never know. Over the years you get a tough skin dealing with the naysayers, the people who turn against you, the people who don't understand or invalidate your work. This is the life of a human who makes it happen. You adapt and build and dream and execute. Why? Because of stories like these... Because of Purpose like this... I am lucky to be guided by my North Star year after year after year and to believe in myself even when others don't. This is my why... <3 #ThrowbackTuesday #WonderWomenTech #Leadership #Vision #Storytelling #Truth #NextChapter #DecadeOfImpact #Teamwork https://lnkd.in/gVYHzu49
