Nurturing the Heart of Healthcare 💡🩺 Creating a compassionate, supportive work environment is key in attracting nurses to elderly care. The importance of work culture can't be understated—it’s the heartbeat of every thriving care facility! 💪 💕 A positive work culture energises staff & enables an environment where nurses feel valued, empowered, and connected to their work. It's not just about the paycheck; it's about creating a space where caregivers can thrive both professionally and personally! 📈 💙 From my experience, facilities that invest in ongoing training, offer regular recognition, and promote work-life balance, don't just attract nurses—they retain them. Nurses are the lifeline to the elderly; their contentment is directly proportional to the quality of care they provide. 👨⚕️ 👩⚕️ Let's discuss what aspects of work culture matter most to you. How can elder care facilities evolve to become havens for our carers as well as our loved ones? Share your thoughts below! 👇 🌈 #ElderCare #NurseCulture #HealthcareHeroes

There are many reasons for nurses’ high levels of burnout, and nurses aren’t optimistic that this year will be any better than last year — and more than one-third of them are "extremely likely" to change jobs, according to a new survey. "They are asked to work longer hours with less resources for providing care. Often, nurses are asked to care for more patients than they feel they can safely [accommodate]." At Artisight we are committed to reversing this trend through AI-driven technology that is bringing the joy back to medicine. Our novel yet widely adopted approach to helping alleviate these problems has made Artisight the most validated all-in-one platform supporting remote nursing, ambient intelligence, and real-time health system applications. Hi, connections A Healthy nurse takes care of their personal health, safety, and wellness and lives life to their fullest capacity. A Healthy Nurse™ is a better role model, educator, and advocate – personally, for the family, for the community, for the work environment, and for the patient. However, nurses struggle with health and wellness. Stress, work shift demands, lack of rest, unhealthy diets, and poor exercise practices have contributed to a growing and serious issue for the profession, nurses themselves – and even their patients. The Foundation has prioritised helping nurses be healthier. We are proud funders of the free nurse wellness program Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™ HNHNworks to improve the nation's health - one nurse at a time. Connecting and engaging nurses, employers, organizations, and schools of nursing, focuses on five domains: physical activity, sleep, nutrition, quality of life, and safety. This web platform and social media inspire healthy action, friendly competition, and provide content and resources. HNHNalso gathers data to identify trends and needs in nurse health, safety, and wellness #snsinstitution #snsdesignthinking #snsdesignthinkers

I facilitated a session yesterday with experienced ICU nurses, on 'What stops you from speaking up at work?'. We want to create workplaces where everyone feels safe, valued, heard and that all opinions, ideas and voices matter. The evidence is clear- Incivility/ Bad behaviour in the workplace has a significant impact on individuals wellbeing, team functioning and ultimately patient outcomes and experience. Even mild rudeness experienced or witnessed, might stop you from speaking up to that person in the future. This is not new news; it is widely known, reported and something that everyone unfortunately experiences in some form every week. We need to do better. Imagine if we were all 1% kinder to each other every week. That's just over 30% kinder by the end of the 2024! What would that mean for your workplace ? #bekind #workplaceculture #behaviourchange #badbehaviourinhealthcare #Psychologicallysafeworkplaces #bebetter

Today marks the end of Nurse's Week. I reposted this article to reinforce my opinion that a corporate focus on workplace nurse survivability will provide a sustainable boost in morale, better employee retention AND improved patient experience scores. It seems as if healthcare entities have tried pretty much everything to better their bottom line except embracing the notion that a significant investment in the wellbeing of the direct contact team members would provide returns that have eluded them... https://lnkd.in/gKTNFEJQ
