90% of people who completed our survey said that their business held fantasy sport competitions for men's sport but not for the women. Let's change that. The Guinness Women's Six Nations kicks-off THIS weekend and we've been thinking... what's the best way to get people involved and immersed with the tournament this year? Our answer... we've set up a Six Nations Fantasy Rugby League powered by Energia so YOU can get more invested, learn about the players and invite your friends, family and colleagues to get invovled too! Not to mention there will be weekly prizes to be won which include match tickets and much more! We do it for men's sport... so why not the women's too? Interestingly enough, we surveyed our audience around the concept of Fantasy Leagues and it was highlighted that the majority of businesses tend to participate in the men's versions of these but very few do the same for the women. In fact - Get involved here: https://lnkd.in/eUH2psRj

Most of the key (overseas-based) players are missing from the first Springbok alignment camp of the new Rugby Word Cup cycle, but there's still a lot to be read into this group – in terms of building for the 2027 tournament in South Africa. My analysis for RugbyPass includes a depth chart based on selections for the Springboks and South Africa A team (2018-2023) as well as the invites to the first alignment camp in 2024, plus an age profile breakdown of the RWC winners and how many will be 35+ in 2027. #Springboks #youth #depth #rugby #rugbyunion https://lnkd.in/dZXX8TKu

The importance of holistically developing professional athletes in practice...
“I needed to get something outside of rugby, I just needed a plan for something I can do after rugby and I'm just mad into strength & conditioning and the gym side of things. So Rugby Players Ireland got me in touch with Setanta College and they've been unbelievable in aiding me. Great insight from Calvin Nash in the URC's More Than A Player series. Springbok Rugby: The Present and Future Look Bright Rugby in South Africa has always been more than just a game. The Springboks represent national pride and unity, and nowhere was that more evident than in Mbombela yesterday. The packed stadium, buzzing with excitement, was a perfect example of how the Boks bring the country together. Black, white, young, and old — all united in their love for the green and gold. The game showcased just how much the sport has grown across all corners of South Africa. Rugby, once seen as a sport for a select few, is now played by kids everywhere. Schools in Soweto, rural KwaZulu-Natal, and the Eastern Cape are producing the next generation of stars, and it's paying off. Look at the young talent playing for the Boks now, players like Kurt-Lee Arendse, Cheslin Kolbe, Aphelele Fassi, who light up the scoreboard with their tries, showing that the future of Springbok rugby is in good hands. These players represent a new era of Boks — diverse, fast, and fearless. They're proving that rugby is for everyone and that the Springboks have no shortage of up-and-coming talent. With youth programs growing and rugby reaching more kids across the country, we’re set to see even more players like Moodie and Arendse. The excitement and skill coming through the ranks mean the Boks will be a force to reckon with for years to come. Mbombela wasn’t just a great match; it was a reminder that South African rugby is stronger than ever, and the future is looking bright.

Legends of English Rugby are bowing out tonight when Northampton Saints host Saracens in the Premiership semi-final. It’s going to be au revoir for either Courtney Lawes and Lewis Ludlam from Northampton or Owen Farrell, Mako Vunipola and Billy Vunipola. The winners will only have 1 more week before they are across the channel too. Whichever side of the fence you sit on it's going to be an emotional evening. The bigger picture is that these 5 players are going to be lost to the English Club Game. They have a lot still to offer, they don't want to go but their clubs can't afford them. This is the real sadness. From what's been reported all 5 would rather stay here and see their career out over the next number of years. Questions have to be asked of the RFU and Premiership Rugby. How has the Premiership been overtaken by France and Japan as the richest places in the world to play rugby? Why can't we afford to pay our players more than France and Japan?
