As January quickly comes to a close, what are you celebrating? Has anyone made a New Year’s resolution and actually stuck with it? If so, share how you did it below! I no longer make resolutions, but I do set some intentions for the year based on a handful of key values I want to move to the top of my list. My areas of focus for 2024? Purpose - living intentionally in all areas of my life Success - re-defining what this means in a manner that honors my whole self, not just one number or aspect of my life Self-Respect - treating myself with the same honor and dignity I treat others Health - living in ways that promote full-body wellness and vigor #2024goals #keynotespeaker #success #lasvegas #nonprofitsupport

Wellbeing is what enables us to flourish. There is a significant body of research showing that people who have high levels of wellbeing receive many positive outcomes: they are more resilient, have more energy, and are healthier and happier. They’re also more charitable, are better liked by others, are more creative and productive at work, and earn more money. There is no magic pill that guarantees wellbeing, but there are simple tools that have proven positive effects on our wellness. As seen in Psychology Today with this article from Megan Dalla-Camina, Women Rising Founder & CEO, learn about the missing link when it comes to your wellbeing. https://lnkd.in/gVVhU2Xt #womenrising #careersuccess #wellbeing #psychologytoday #careercoaching

Nonprofit leaders, let’s struggle well together! At the end of your day, I encourage you and your team to turn off your computers, avoid checking emails, and enjoy your evening. Your work will wait. We all need to guard our downtime more than ever so that we can recharge and bring our best selves to our organizations and clients. We’ve been through a lot over the past five years. Therefore, we must protect each other and struggle together. In a piece published by the Harvard Business Review, Stop Framing Wellness Programs Around Self-Care, Michelle A. Barton, Bill Kahn, Sally Maitlis, and Kathleen M. Sutcliffe describe it like this: “When adversity is framed as collective, individuals experience themselves as part of a joint struggle and are better able to look at each other with compassion and empathy. There is a sense of “we are all suffering, but by working through this together, we are struggling well.” Take a break—your team is watching! Show them that we’re all in this together and that it’s okay to rest! __ Tonight, I’m going to turn off work so that I can spend time outside with my kids. My five-year-old is getting really good at the monkey bars! What about YOU? Do you have any fun evening plans? Tell me in the comments. __ Want even more support? Here’s how I can help! 🤫 Want a short cut to improving your and your team's wellbeing? 💪 I spend my Monday nights with GoodGym doing gentle runs around Bromley to support various community projects and here's how it can be the short cut you're looking for according to Gallup's Wellbeing definitions: 🏃 First up is running or walking to projects which is obviously great for Physical Wellbeing ❤️ Then there's getting involved in those projects (aka good deeds) which help people in your area from food banks to youth centres, getting your Community Wellbeing sorted. 🫂 Which you're doing with other people both from GoodGym and the projects, improving the most important one of all, Social Wellbeing. 💷 There is a monthly donation, but it's on a sliding scale so should be affordable for all, and is definitely cheaper than the gym - ultimately giving you a positive purpose for your money, which is good for your Financial Wellbeing. 🤔 And ticking off those four elements at once, has naturally got to be great for your Mental Wellbeing! 😀 It certainly has been for me, as I continue my wellbeing journey at the Employee Benefits Collective LLP, where we're very happy taking our own advice! 👇Link to GoodGym 👇 #EmployeeWellbeing #MentalWellbeing.#PhysicalWellbeing #FinancialWellbeing #CommunityWellbeing #SocialWellbeing
