Copper and Gold PROPERTIES AVAILABLE in Ontario mining camps. As a preliminary overview, here is a snapshot of two, separate properties that are available by one of my clients. The properties are held privately. Please review these general notes. Copper property outside of Sudbury. -Two large priority targets, based on high mags - historical drilling hit 2% copper over approx. 2 meters, .8% over 147 meters, a number of other holes have copper mineralization. (9 holes in total from past vendors) - Current Vendor has grown from 6 claims, when he first got the project to now 53 adjoining claims. -Vendor interested in JV/earn in or possible sale. Gold property outside Timmins- DRILLING just completed at end of August, waiting for assays! -28km away from Timmins, 15km NNW from Pan America Timmins West mine and 10km from Melkiors Carscallen Project which released (last fall) drill intersections of 25.7 g/t Au over 6 meters and 8.05g/t over 2 meters. -easily accessible via Hwy and logging roads. -gold, silver and potential base metals. -Vendor did first ever drilling on the property in 2021 (14 total), geophysics, grab sampling etc. -the 2021 drill campaign generated approximately $600,000 worth of assessment credits that can be distributed across any or all claims as they are all contiguous. - nice preliminary results with gold intercepts. - two priority targets plus five areas that require further investigation. - Vendor interested in JV/earn in or possible sale. One of the few recent examples of the Canadian and Australian mining sectors not being completely in synch. Following on recent headlines of shuttering of nickel projects in Australia, Vale Base Metals is set to open a new open pit mine at the historic Stobie Mine site in Sudbury, Ontario. This project, expected to cost $205 million over the next four years, will produce nickel and copper, with an initial production target of 300,000 tonnes of nickel and copper this year, ramping up to 1.5 million tonnes of the metals annually by 2025, continuing until 2027 or 2028. The project will also yield valuable by-products such as cobalt and precious metals. The project is checking all the right boxes (which I am sure isn't unconnected to the fact it is going ahead) including union buy in, indigenous involvement and local contractors. Jobs will include roles such as excavator operators, dozer operators, haulage truck drivers, and maintenance workers. Work has already begun at the Stobie site, and full-scale mining production is expected to start soon. It seems like such a simple recipe, but I am sure this Canadian Mining Journal article by Salima Virani mining doesn't fully represent the sweat and tears that went into it.

Mining Short Notes 📝 FLOW OF SURFACE MINING Perforation blasting: refers to drilling a directional blast hole with a certain diameter and depth in the open-pit ore rock during surface coal mining, and blasting with explosives to break and loosen the ore rock. Mining and loading: It is the operation of manually or mechanically loading the ore into the transportation equipment, or directly unloading it to the designated location. Transportation: transporting the ore and rock in the open pit to the unloading point (or beneficiation plant) and dumping site respectively, and at the same time transporting production personnel, equipment and materials to the mining site. Dumping:refers to the operation of stripping a large amount of topsoil and rocks covering the upper and surrounding ore bed from the open pit, and transporting it to a specially set site (such as a dumping yard or a waste rock yard) for disposal. Sweet mining honey. The video shows the final crushed manganese product produced on a mine in South Africa. This final product is exported and sold into the global market, generating income for the mine. The export product is sold in two forms namely Lumpy and Fines. Lumpy material is sold at a premium rate into the market at this time, where as your fines are sold to the market at a discount of 30-40%. It is therefor important for the processing operations to crush the material down to lumpy specifications (usually ±31-75mm in size) as much as possible. Reducing the amount of fines in your material is only beneficial, as you can sell more tons of lumpy. The success at the crushing plant is once again greatly dependant on the material that you haul to the plant, as a result of the blasted muckpile. Drilling and blasting teams need to understand that they are one of the most important first steps to producing the correct product for a mine, and therefor need to take the time to design and execute good blasts.

RIO TINTO REPORTS DIP IN FIRST-QUARTER IRON ORE SHIPMENTS Rio Tinto, a diversified mining group, has announced a 5% year-on-year decline in first-quarter iron-ore shipments, totaling 78 million tonnes. Weather disruptions at ports and reduced production from certain Western Australian mines contributed to this decrease. Despite the dip, Rio Tinto maintains its full-year expectations for Pilbara iron-ore shipments in 2024, ranging from 323 million to 338 million tonnes, with a unit cash cost of $21.75/t to $23.50/t. Mineral Resources (MinRes) has achieved a significant milestone by delivering the first ore shipment ahead of schedule from its Onslow Iron project. This project unlocks a new iron ore mining region for Australia: - Project Overview: The Onslow Iron project is MinRes' flagship initiative, representing a $3 billion investment. It aims to develop an iron ore mining operation in the West Pilbara region of Australia. - Achievement: Just 11 months after breaking ground at the Ken's Bore mine site, located 150 km east of Onslow, MinRes successfully loaded 113,000 tonnes of iron ore onto two transhippers: MinRes Coolibah and MinRes Airlie. These vessels are currently anchored 40 km off the Port of Ashburton and will soon depart for China. - Joint Venture Partners: The project is a joint venture involving China Baowu Steel Group (the world's largest steelmaker), AMCI, and POSCO. MinRes' innovative mining and transport infrastructure have unlocked previously stranded iron ore deposits in the region. - Mine Life and Capacity: Onslow Iron is expected to ship 35 million tonnes of iron ore annually, with a projected mine life of over 30 years.
