If you've attended one of my Moisture Management CEU courses, there are 2 topics that I emphasize over and over again. - The importance of utilizing a "System Approach". - Always having redundancies in place when selecting a system. The reason for the emphasis is due to the potential consequences of overlooking them. Things can get ugly very quickly. Use this picture as a reference of the damage that can happen when things go wrong. Not all system are created equal. Ask me how Tamlyn's Water Management System does it right. www.Tamlyn.com #tamlyn #buildingenvelope #houstontx

We are excited to kick off a new Q&A series with Stephen Edwards, our business development and FOG (fats, oils and grease) expert. Steve’s expertise in water utility network protection and compliance plays a key role in delivering high-quality grease management solutions at GreaseTech. In this series, Steve will be answering your questions and sharing his insights. Let’s dive into the first question! 🎙 Q: Steve, what is the most common issue you encounter with grease management, and how do you address it? 🎙 A: One of the most common issues we see is the buildup of FOG in drainage systems, which can lead to blockages and environmental overflows. To address this, we implement a combination of grease trapping equipment and regular maintenance schedules. Additionally, we educate our clients on best practices for FOG disposal. By taking a proactive approach, we can prevent issues before they become major problems. Stay tuned for more insights and send in your questions to #AskSteve #ExpertInsights #Compliance #NetworkProtection #GreaseManagement #DrainManagement #SustainableRestaurants

Maintaining feed pipe systems in existing exposed sites is already challenging with maintenance and repair costs increased in more exposed sites, not to mention the high costs of interruptions to feeding. The team led by Rowan Paton: Advanced Composite Structures Australia | ACS-A along with Griffith University, Pacific ESI, Tassal Group and University of Tasmania aimed to better understand the dynamics of feed pipes systems, and to develop solutions to make aspects of the system more robust. Being able to reliably and economically operate salmon farms in more exposed waters will be a considerable advantage for the Tasmanian salmon industry.
