🌟 Consultant Gastroenterologist SGH | Lead for Transition in Pediatric Onset Liver Disease | Co-Lead in Narrative Medicine at SingHealth Duke Medical Humanities Institute | MSc Candidate in Behavioral Science at LSE 🌟
Exciting News: Introducing HEART – Healthcare Experiences And Reflective Tales! 🌟 What began as a spark of an idea within our team at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Medical Humanities Institution (SDMHI) and the Narratives in Medicine arm has now come to life! I’m so excited to share that we’ve officially launched HEART, a Substack newsletter where we’ll be diving into the powerful stories and reflections that shape our healthcare experiences. HEART is still a work in progress, and we’re navigating this digital adventure with a lot of heart (pun intended!) and determination, even though tech isn’t exactly our strong suit! You might notice a few rough edges here and there as we continue to learn and grow, but our main focus is on the content—the stories that bring us together and help us connect on a deeper level. This project wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support and collaboration of the team at Narratives in Medicine arm, especially Yee Hui Mok, Natalie Woong and many others who I somehow can't seem to find here!! A huge thank you also goes to our comms team, especially Jennifer Wee, for backing this crazy pitch despite the number of memes in the pitch deck. We’d love your support and feedback as we keep refining HEART. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, a patient, or just someone who believes in the power of storytelling, we’d be thrilled to have you join us on this journey. When you visit the page, you might be asked to enter your email—feel free to just click "No thanks" and keep reading without subscribing right away. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ggXb7itF Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter! #healthcare #narrativemedicine #storytelling #substack #HEART
