Today is World Mental Health Day. It's a great day to stop and think about how you are supporting your mental health. There is a lot of stressful energy in the ethers right now - hurricanes, election campaigns, inflation, war, illness, and more. We can handle all of this much easier when we are mentally healthy. So I invite you to share some mental health tips that work for you! 🫵
My favorites include early morning walks and meditation, healthy eating, exercise, limit news consumption, and inner child work. I've been doing A LOT of inner child work lately. And you know what, the process is not usually fun. But my sense of wholeness and confidence is getting stronger and my relationships are experiencing deeper connection and joy. It's worth it. For you and those around you. ❤️
You matter. And when you know that about yourself, you can help others realize that for themselves. 🫂
We live in an age when we know so much more about what is going in the world. And we care about others, right? But feeling the constant pain that the world could show us if we let it is not helpful to you or the world. Our pain, anger, and sadness does not make the world or us better. But our affirmative prayers (i.e. knowing our oneness with the Universe and aligning with goodness and positive outcomes vs. begging and beseeching a God outside of ourselves) and raising our own vibration lifts and brightens the energy. And everything is energy. 🙌
This self care wheel designed by Olga Phoenix (it's free on her website) is a great starting place if you are not sure where to begin. But please do, begin. Somewhere. 🙏
