Today is Equal Pay Day, a powerful reminder that the fight for gender equality in the workplace is far from over. On average, women still earn only 82 cents for every dollar earned by men. This gap is even wider for women of color and other marginalized groups. This means women have to work for almost 15 months to earn what men make in 12 months. It's time to close this gap once and for all. Let's advocate for fair wages, transparency, and equal opportunities for all. Together, we can build a future where everyone is paid what they deserve. #EqualPayDay #CloseTheGap #PayEquity Watch our latest vlog on Leveling the Playing Field - Equal Pay: https://bit.ly/49LJwDf

Achieving equal pay is an important milestone for human rights & gender equality. Yet, despite global progress, there isn't a single country or a sector that has closed the gender pay gap. On average, women are paid about 20% less than men. In some regions, as well as for women of colour, immigrant women & women with children, the difference is even greater. On Wednesday's Equal Pay Day, join UN Women in demanding equal pay for work of equal value. https://lnkd.in/ew6Gygr

As someone deeply invested in cross-cultural education and public health, I see the gender pay gap as a key barrier to achieving true equity across sectors. When we talk about equal pay, it’s not just about salaries—it’s about ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their gender or background, have equal access to opportunities and resources. Closing the gender pay gap is crucial for both social justice and economic sustainability. I stand with UN Women in demanding equal pay for work of equal value. This is a shared responsibility that affects all industries and regions. #GenderEquality #EqualPay #HumanRights #UNWomen #EconomicJustice #Inclusion
