Lobito Corridor Investment Promotion Authority’s Post

📽 WATCH: UPDATE ON ROAD WORKS CONNECTING LONGONJO MINE TO LOBITO CORRIDOR'S RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE IN ANGOLA The UK miner, Pensana Plc, has provided a video update that road works connecting the rare earth mine to the #LobitoCorridor railway are advancing. The 4.5-kilometer road linking the mine and railway is being funded by a $15 million bridge loan provided by the Fundo Soberano de Angola (FSDEA) which is Angola's sovereign wealth fund. The Longonjo mine, a $250 million project, contains substantial deposits of rare earth minerals, including neodymium and praseodymium, which are crucial for the production of electric vehicles and wind turbines. Pensana aims for the mine to supply approximately 5% of the world's neodymium and praseodymium demand.
