Should you tip in Rome? Tipping isn’t really expected in Italy. You just need to leave some extra change or a euro per person regardless of check size. To simplify things, we have created different levels of tipping to help people understand: Don Corleone: Leave 20% and when you go back the restaurant staff will celebrate your return as if you were the Godfather. You may get some sneers from other restaurant goers who can’t get your waiter’s attention. Super Nice: Leave 10%. It’s less than you are used to but far more than anyone in Italy would expect. Roman: Leave a euro or two extra per person. The wait staff will be very happy. Nothing at All: Leave nothing and nobody will say anything. Your food will not be poisoned upon returning.

Attracting your guest to repeat his visits isn't hard to do, but how is it? When we talk about more than thousands of competitors, no one knows about the way the guests opinions; our minds are full of ideas and changing, but if you start with your guest from the beginning, it will be impossible to attract him to always come. Greeting guests from the first step on your door will be the first impression, and when you help him find his table, he will be glad if you ask him to have a seat by his name. During the service, ask him about the food experience and give him time to explain his visit and his opinion. Serving guests isn't as hard as they say but put yourself in their shoes. He needs to feel important to you, wherever the restaurant is. Let him feel that you want to serve him from your heart. #serviceexcellence #foodandbeverageindustry #guestexperience

I've never been into brunch. Mostly because of the association with breakfast. I'm not excited by breakfast foods. I actually like to eat dinner for breakfast. Lol my fav "breakfast" is a good hearty chicken soup 🍲 😋 Today, I create and manage brunch events for hundreds of people every weekend. My skills in culinary, hospitality service, bar management and event management kick into overdrive with every event. I'd say that I'm definitely into brunch now and so excited for the weekend every week. #brunch #hospitalitymanagement #eventmanagement #menudevelopment

𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆, 𝘀𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. I use various means to decide where to eat in a new location, including checking ratings. The ratings are usually reliable, and I rely upon them. It also allows us to review the menu for our favorites. Our preferences are sports bars and Mexican restaurants for lunch and dinner. 𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆? One characteristic generally not noted in rating reports is how busy the restaurant is. On many occasions, when we select on a whim, this will be the deciding factor. If a restaurant is not busy at mealtime, this is a red flag. If we see the seating is full and people waiting, this is usually a sign of good food, good service, or a good bartender—not necessarily all three, but usually two of the three. Patience is not one of my virtues, so we generally sit at the bar while waiting for a table. There are certainly exceptions to this rule, especially in tourist areas, but it is a good rule to follow if you frequent local establishments. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲'𝘀 In our San Antonio neighborhood, we noticed a restaurant named “Good-Time Charlie’s.” The parking lot was packed in the middle of the afternoon. The following day, we verified the ratings and decided to try it. The place was packed, and the staff was all on the run, but they seated us after a short wait. It became our place in San Antonio, and we had three meals at Good Time Charlies. 𝗪𝗵𝘆? This guideline works because locals return to places they enjoy, so it stays busy. It is less reliable for chain restaurants or restaurants that cater to tourists who often flock to them only to be disappointed. In this particular case, following the crowd is a great idea. #restaurants #Ratings #Service

Do you travel for food? It is the number 1 reason we travel- for me it is one of THE experiences that makes or breaks a trip. I don’t care how beautiful the place is, if the food is bad, it just ruins it. What do you say? :) The reason I am talking about food is because I visited yesterday, what might be the best Indian restaurant in Germany. I have found the quality of Indian restaurants to be lacking in Germany ( with the exception of Tiffin/ Gully Burger from Sachin Obaid !) so I usually have a low base of expectations so Authentikka was a big , wonderful surprise. Not only the food but the service, ambience and the cocktails- a 5 star experience. Next time you are in Hamburg, definitely make a reservation- you won’t regret it. I will definitely be returning to Hamburg soon, just to eat here!
