Amazing message to share with your contacts. It is very sad to see from what source is coming and what we do to get rid of it. There is so much more than recycling, which by the way is not done in most of the cases. We export our plastic to paradise like Indonesia. Oh and then waste pickers have a livelihood!! So ironic!! Promote behavior change and #circulareconomy

We can't recycle our way out of this. We buy 1 million PET bottles / minute. That's 525 billion bottles each year, globally. 99% is made from oil. Only 28% is recycled. The rest is burned, landfilled, or littered. If we don't act, by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. We know what to do: REFUSE -> REDUCE -> REUSE -> RECYCLE We've got the whole world in our hands. Let's turn off the tap on plastic pollution. 👉 Hit follow for more ♻ Repost if this hits home #circulareconomy #wastemanagement #sustainability PS: Credits to Greenpeace International for the campaign.
