Have you considered heat and extreme weather if you have people attending events like the Euros or Olympics this summer? You need to! This past March was the 10th consecutive month that experts say was the hottest on record for the time of year. Extreme heat at summer events is a huge concern. Last year, at a Taylor Swift concert in Brazil, insufficient planning led to fans suffering injuries associated with the heat. People suffered burns from hot metal railings and floors, and one person very sadly died from the extreme heat. This doesn't need to be the reality. We have tons of guidance and expertise to help. So, check out RiskPal to learn how to improve your risk assessment and event decision-making. #RiskAssessment https://lnkd.in/gnAijqJb

What helps you focus to get your task list done? *Music* helps me stay productive. I usually have at least a portion of my second monitor (sometimes the whole screen) reserved for a cool video that keeps me focused, like this one. The images on the video also help me feel like I'm getting a bit of "sunshine" and "nature" in my office. My sun lamp adds to the atmosphere, making my office comfortable, positive, and motivating. https://lnkd.in/eN6gkpbD

I had a really positive discussion with Peter Marks and Michael Kill on BBC Radio 4 The Bottom Line discussing the future of nightlife, it's not dying it's like a phoenix rising. If you are interested it's a 30-minute listen & you can find it here And although nightclubs are dying off as the needs of young people change the future of nightlife itself, is not dying & people will always want places to dance, & enjoy music, arts, culture & food over shared experiences. It's like a phoenix rising. These areas of growth need to be protected, nurtured & nourished to enable them to flourish. So what are the hot new trends in nightlife? 1. Experiential activities: this is taking part in activities you can immerse & lose yourself in, & just for that moment forget the world exists beyond the joy! Think hedonism in things such as immersive theatre & dining, in the last few weeks, for example, I've experienced a painting in the dark night, a secret dining club experience where you go to a secret location to eat not knowing what the menu is or anyone else there, spaces such as Wake the Tiger in Bristol & a couple of weeks ago I went to a twilight spa experience. 2. Small low-risk DIY-type festivals: Some of the Big festivals are struggling to financially make it, but small intimate festivals around a shared love of music, arts, culture & food running for 1 to 2 days are in & selling out fast. People like the sense of intimacy & exclusivity. 3. Underground & pop-up events that are unique & maybe only run a few times before switching things up in meanwhile or unusual spaces. People want interesting things to talk about and are still willing to spend money on something great, average is out unless it's a quick and easy eat but even then people are choosing local and familiar like a local space they regularly go to think home from home, with familiar consistency and regular welcome. 4. Instagrammable & bespoke moments think street art, cool-looking food consumed on the street, in parks, on shared tables & unique lighting experiences such as light nights, & trails that encourage people to wander through & explore a city finding new spaces on route. 5. Kink, Fetish & Spirituality spaces where people can explore their specific sexual kinks & fetishes or views on spirituality with other like-minded people. Think ice baths, ceremonies, yoga & intimate life sharing. 6. Emerging world food by independent providers. If you're interested it's a 30-minute listen here https://lnkd.in/dxMzSfK9

How to elevate your concert experience from mediocre to unforgettable: Picture this: You’ve got your crew, tickets in hand, and everyone is more than ready to rock out at the concert of the year. 🤘 But then the dreaded question arises: Who's gonna be the designated driver? Skip that boring and stressful part of the night by booking a limo service. 🚕🎶 The benefits? It’s a full-on VIP experience. You and your crew can arrive in style, with enough space to dance and have a blast without worrying about road rage or parking. Plus, no one will be left out of the pre- or post-concert fun. Also, think of the time and money saved when you don't have to hail cabs or face surge pricing. And, who knows? Your driver might even give you a few suggestions for local dives or hidden gems along the way. So, the next time you’re headed to a concert, be sure to make a grand entrance in a concert limo service. 🎉
