Today, we announced positive interim data from our ongoing Phase 2 trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of our product candidate in people with #ChronicNeutropenia (CN). This comprehensive database includes 2,301 medical devices, spanning various treatments and diagnoses such as neonatal care, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Peter Kowey, MD, a member of the trial steering committee, coauthored a report detailing the design of the global phase III LIBREXIA AF study in the American Heart Journal. The trial seeks to determine the efficacy and safety of the oral Factor XIa inhibitor milvexian compared with apixaban in participants with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter. Direct oral anticoagulants are the standard of care for stroke prevention in eligible patients with atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter; however, bleeding remains a significant concern, limiting their use. https://bit.ly/4cNHfs6

In this phase I trial, 114 subjects were randomized, 55 (mean age 29 years, 64% female) assigned to the single ascending dose period and 59 (mean age 32 years, 58% female) assigned to the multiple-ascending dose period, of whom 105 completed the trial. The results showed that muvalaplin reduced lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] levels by up to 65% without any safety concerns, providing a basis for further clinical development.
