Our founder Lene Leth Rasmussen is featured in the latest issue of Out & About magazine. She underlines the importance of supplier diversity. Organizations such as ESDP (European Supplier Diversity Project) are working to promote supplier diversity on a EU-level, but Denmark is falling behind compared to other European countries and the US where supplier diversity is already implemented. Lene urges larger companies in Denmark to consider hiring a Supplier Diversity Manager and to work more systematically with supplier diversity by fostering fair competition and initiating conversations about supplier diversity within organizations. As Lene points out: "I don't think it's a question of whether supplier diversity will become part of corporate procurement policies. It's a question of when it will happen, and in which countries it will happen first, and how it will happen." Championing Supplier Diversity -->Driving Strategic Procurement Initiatives Good Morning LinkedIn! 👋 As a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in in my personal & professional world, I'm thrilled to share some insights on a topic close to my heart: Supplier Diversity. In today's rapidly evolving marketplace, it's not just about what we buy, but who we buy from that truly matters. That's why I firmly believe that integrating supplier diversity into our strategic planning is a powerful catalyst for positive change and innovation. 💡 Embracing Diversity, Driving Success: Supplier Diversity isn't just a feel-good initiative; it's a strategic imperative. By tapping into the abundant world of diverse suppliers, we gain access to a wealth of perspectives, ideas, and solutions that fuel our growth and competitiveness. 💡 Inclusion in Action: It's not enough to simply talk the talk; we must walk the walk. That's why I have been proud to lead stakeholder teams in actively seeking out and partnering with diverse suppliers. Together, we're not just building a supply chain—we're building a community. 💡 Measuring What Matters: As a data-driven leader, I know the importance of setting clear metrics to gauge our progress. Whether it's tracking our spend with diverse suppliers or monitoring supplier satisfaction ratings, I make sure as a company we are committed to measuring our impact and driving continuous improvement. 💡 Building Bridges, Not Barriers: Supplier Diversity is about more than just transactions; it's about building meaningful partnerships. That's why I'm passionate about fostering relationships with diverse suppliers, investing in their growth, and creating opportunities for collaboration and mutual success. September marked Supplier Diversity Month, a significant initiative led by Supply Nation to raise awareness about the numerous advantages of supplier diversity. This year holds special significance as we commemorate Supply Nation's 15th anniversary! This occasion prompts us to underscore the pivotal role played by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in our supply chains. Through advocating for supplier diversity, we not only foster innovation and creativity but also contribute to a fairer economy. The inclusion of diverse suppliers in our supply chain results in: - Increased resilience: A diverse pool of suppliers equips us with better tools to overcome challenges efficiently. - Social impact: Backing Indigenous enterprises nurtures economic growth and empowerment within various communities. - Fresh perspectives: Diverse suppliers offer unique insights that can propel our businesses towards success. As this month draws to a close, let's contemplate ways to incorporate diverse suppliers into our strategies and champion equity within our workplaces. Together, we can forge a more inclusive future for everyone. #SupplierDiversity #Inclusion

🤔 How do you make your company's #supplierdiversity mechanisms anti-racist? I found this piece from Chris Genteel of Glidelane (and formerly Google) extremely thought provoking and actionable. I'd be curious to hear from others what changes it might spark you to make in your own approaches or other questions it raises. #supplychain #diversity #equity #purpose

I've been a leader in corporate Supplier Diversity for over 10 years now, and am now on the other side as a black-owned business. Supplier Diversity is a beautiful if flawed mechanism for creating economic equity, but as a product of a systemically biased ecosystem it is not immune from racism in its design or delivery. Sharing some thoughts in my blog today on how to create Antiracist practice and policy in Supplier Diversity. https://lnkd.in/gwsGexTh
