A full-time champion of solicitor apprenticeships, Founder and Director at Joanna Hughes Solicitor Apprenticeships, Co-Lead of City Century and Liveryman | Previously a solicitor for 25 years at a 'Magic Circle' law firm
I am Founding Member #67 of 93% Professionals and I highly recommend it for corporate membership and individual professionals.
Corporate membership is obviously most helpful for the charity, and well done Slaughter and May for being one of the 93% Professionals Founding Member Firms 👏
What do I enjoy most about 93% Professionals?
✔️ The warm and active online Slack community where state-educated professionals both within their own sector and across sectors can chat and exchange ideas
✔️ The weekly round-up emails - love a bit of know-how and they are fun
✔️ Numerous and well-organised opportunities to meet in person
There are many other benefits - see post below - but these are my favourites.
Being a member of 93% Professionals also - obviously - sends a strong signal that state-educated talent is welcome where you work. Easy to forget that this isn’t always obvious to those looking in to high-prestige employers.
Being a member of 93% Professionals works well for professionals of all ages and I personally think it would be GREAT for state-educated solicitor apprentices..

19 years is a long time for a small business to survive, much less thrive, especially in tech. These elements have seen me through and kept me passionate about, and relevant in, this space:
💡 Curiosity: An almost endless curiosity about business challenges & how technology might play a role in the solutions
🥨 Flexibility: More than just adapting to change, our team thrives on change and get bored when things are static
🤝 Integrity: We're not bound to external sales goals or growth targets, and our clients know we care about their success more than we care about an extra dollar
🌐 Global impact: We've touched hundreds of millions of lives with our education, financial and health solutions, leaving things better than we found them
Let's see what we accomplish in this next year!

Our employee stories series continues to feature more La Clinica employees and explore who we are, what we love, what drives us, and how we work.
Up this week: Zulma Larios
Meet Zulma Larios, field-based care manager at La Clinica.
Zulma will celebrate her 10-year anniversary with La Clinica this July. From her early days as a patient service representative to her current role, Zulma thinks it is difficult to get bored working here. She appreciates La Clinica's constant movement toward equity, improvement, innovation, and growth and credits her career growth to authentic and powerful mentors.

It's always a party at Door No. 3! Hat tip for celebrating 30 years in business. I'm grateful to be part of writing this current chapter.
From a new business perspective, it's no small feat to grow an agency. For 30 years, no less. Striking the right balance of growth is a delicate dance.
Providing excellent care for your existing clients while running ahead to cultivate new clients. Building a sticky culture where top talent wants to stay while creating demand to grow the bench. Marketing for others, while also marketing for yourself. Staying heads down in the work while staying up on constantly evolving trends. You get it.
Holding all of these tensions is the daily work of growth. It's the daily inputs, those little disciplines that compound over time. Keep at it today!
