I am posting a new article, #126, that has the title of: “God does not lie – versus – Science does not lie.” It is written in the hope that it will help people to decide to be a Christian and who think that they cannot be a Christian because they believe in what science tells them about the way in which the Bible indicates that Noah’s flood is worldwide, which is not true. The article is short and only 11 pages long with two figures. You can access my article at the following link: Nr126Lies2.pdf (csun.edu) Lorence (Larry) Collins (professor of geology emeritus, CSUN)

All: I am announcing a new article on my website, #130, with the title: The Big Hurricanes Theory, the Great Unconformity, and a Supposed Worldwide Flood. It is 29 pages long and has 14 figures. After attempting to publish it in a shorter version in four refereed geology journals and two science magazines and in two Christian magazines and one Christian journal and being denied by editors of the geology journals and two science magazines, presumably because it had too much controversial religion topics in it, and by editors of the Christian magazines and one Christian journal because it had too much science in it, I have given up on getting it published in some place for general readership by the public or geologists. On that basis, I decided to expand it a bit and summarize both the science and the evidence that a worldwide Noah’s flood is not possible in order to have this information in one article instead of in several articles. It includes a closing statement that shows that Christians can accept it with full endorsement because it meets the requirement that Jesus expects when he says: “Come follow me!” I hope that you will share it with many people. I am posting a new article on my website, #125, with the title: Critique of Hydroplate Theory by Walt Brown. The word “hydroplate” refers to the “great fountains of the deep” (or springs of the deep) that are mentioned by Moses in Genesis 7:11. In this theory, Brown suggests that half of the water that is found in the oceans in which Noah’s flood supposedly deposited the sedimentary rocks in the Grand Canyon during the one year of the flood came from a huge volume of free water in the Earth’s crust or upper mantle that was ejected as the “great fountains of the deep” at supersonic speeds through cracks in the Earth’s crust (the mid-ocean spreading centers of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans) and pushed the North and South American continents at high speeds away from the European and African continents. The idea that a huge volume of free water could exist in the crust or upper mantle to provide such water to the oceans totally disobeys physical laws but is necessary in Brown’s theory because he wants to make what is said in the Bible to be the Word of God and literally true as it is written. My article explains where he does not know or understand geologic processes. This critique can be accessed at this link. I am announcing a new article on my website, #131, that is co-authored by Lorence Collins and Andrew Petto. Its title is “Science and Bible Translations.” It is a short read – just 12 pages long. Many people want to make the Bible also into a science textbook when it was written only to give good theology. We point out that it needs to be read with wisdom and what it contains is based on the culture of the Hebrew people when they lived 6,000 years ago and did not have the science knowledge that modern people have today. Some Christians say that it was written against “so-called science” when its authors are really saying that it was written against “false, fake, or so-called knowledge.” The article provides links to articles that show that those people who promote young-Earth creationism (YEC) in which Noah’s flood was worldwide and deposited the sedimentary layers in the Grand Canyon about 4,450 years ago have chosen data that fit what they want to believe and ignored data that do not fit. These articles show the science errors made by the YEC and that none of the YEC has refuted the correct science provided by Collins. The article can be accessed at the following link. Importance of traditional studies As a student of political science I realized the importance of manners in our personal life which leads to a better society. Not only in Demography but also in the private sector it teaches us to grow with a great view and understanding. In today's modern era, the advancement has its base on our tradition. This important teaching is preserved in our traditional education. It is our duty to protect and realize its importance.
