Vernon Vigil's work is out of this world, literally: he built instruments on satellites in orbit today with his own two hands. 🛰️

Space is indispensible in the ground battle. In current conflicts exploitation of space is extensive. Space remains the toughest place to exist. Demands on technology are extreme. What succeeds in space will succeed in the battle.
Force generation is a (maybe ‘the’) most important function of a component. However, the need for purpose-built formations and growing demand for forces worldwide consistently challenge our ability to balance resources and strategize within acceptable time windows. This stresses the importance of normalizing relationships with space forces by incorporating USSF and space organizations in our own (i.e., terrestrial forces) force generation constructs. Said differently, consider global space structures when manning, training, and equipping your own troops. Talk to your space SME and ask how space aggressors, planning teams, task forces, and standing space organizations can support your mission.

Gen. Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operations: "In my estimation, SPAFORGEN is the most drastic change accompanying the establishment of the Space Force. It fundamentally alters how we prepare for operations."

Just 3 days until the New Space Age Conference 2024! We are pleased to announce our first event of the day, the Space Infrastructure Panel.
Here’s what to know:
The decreasing cost and availability of launch have created the opportunity for a greater and more persistent presence in space. The future promises facilities in space for habitation and manufacturing that contribute to welfare and economic progress on Earth. With the increased presence in space comes the need to be more responsive and sustainable through the on-orbit servicing or repositioning of active satellites or by de-orbiting of inactive equipment. In this panel, industry leaders will discuss the current state and future plans for construction, manufacturing, and servicing in space.
Featuring:
Ariel Ekblaw - CEO, Aurelia Institute
Andrew Kwas - Senior Fellow, Northrop Grumman SpaceLogistics
Alex Coultrup - Director of LEO Business and Policy, Starfish SpaceZack Cordero - Boeing Assistant Professor, MIT AeroAstro (Moderator)
Where: MIT Media Lab
When: 09:10am - 10:00am EST, Friday April 5th

“Our primary objective with this burst test, which is the first on a module of this size, was to verify the success we’ve achieved on subscale units holds true at this larger size. Its success provides us with a critical data point in achieving flight certification as we work toward protecting the next generation of humans living and working in space." - James Kirwan, Program Manager, Space Habitats at ILC Dover.
