Plans to upgrade the Los Angeles Convention Center are moving forward. It will bring in more than $165 million in visitor spending each year and create nearly 7,500 jobs during construction and 2,147 permanent positions, according to a release from the Convention Center and the Los Angeles City Tourism Department. The project is expected to begin construction in the spring and be completed before the 2028 Olympic Games.
