Lots in all of our plates today (we know). But knowledge is still power so let’s here the breakdowns and insights of pundits on the inside of this industry.

When I first heard about a ballot box fire, it wasn’t even on Google yet, and I thought the social media post was a hoax. If anything highlights how crucial your vote is, it’s this: someone setting ballot boxes on fire. No one bothers to burn worthless pieces of paper. They certainly won’t do it if they need your vote to win. And they wouldn’t do it if they believed the count didn’t matter. Actions speak louder than words. Your vote is powerful, private, and it intimidates those who can’t control your choice. Two of the three ballot boxes attacked in here Pacific Northwest withstood the fires—both in Oregon. The fire safety wall failed on the box in Washington state. If you used that Washington box, track your ballot online. If it hasn’t been received, contact your county or state election office. They’ll provide you with a provisional ballot. Your voice matters. Vote. People are burning ballot boxes to keep you silent.
