Womens Football is an investable entity. I repeat, Womens Football IS an investable entity. Companies are waking up to the idea that women’s football should be big business. So why do clubs respond by cutting their womens set up? In the mens game, there is an ambition, patience and desire to invest. Clubs must move with the times and mindset shift around womens football. We are an investable entity! Get on the train or get left behind.
Women and girls deserve to play ⚽ This week, Thornaby FC decided to cut the female section of the club from the U7s through to the Women’s team. More than 100 women and girls from the club have lost the joy and sense of belonging that being part of this team has given them. This decision prompted local and national outrage, lead by high profile players such as Beth Mead who spoke out and gave their support. This moment has displayed that the country is united in its support for women's sport. It's 2024, and women and girls should not be excluded from sport. Listen to our full interview on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour here: https://lnkd.in/e6NcxgpV
