🚨 Warning: Small Rant Incoming 🚨 As a marketeer, business owner, and consumer, I’m often perplexed by the direction some home service companies take with their commercials. Why invest heavily in Hollywood-level production or create bizarre content that misses the mark? I've seen several commercials lately that feature quirky or over-the-top scenarios, like a person discussing their plumbing issues with a rideshare driver. While these ads are certainly memorable, they often miss the point of effectively communicating the company's value and services. Instead of feeling informed and reassured, I find myself more confused and, frankly, a bit annoyed. 😅 Why not use your commercial as an opportunity to clearly explain your services and build value? Here’s a commercial we produced for MDH Foundation Repair that does just that. It effectively highlights the problems they solve, showcases their solution in progress, and presents the finished product. As a homeowner, this is the kind of advertisement that resonates with me – it’s clear, informative, and gives me confidence in their services. Let's focus on creating ads that inform and build trust, rather than confuse.
