Research Associate and PhD Student in the Life Cycle Assessment of Chemicals and Energy Systems

The open-source Early-STage IMpact Assessment Tool #ESTIMATe is officially out now! Carbon Capture and Utilization (#CCU) processes can offer climate benefits compared to fossil-based chemicals production. However, environmental benefits must be verified in Life Cycle Assessment studies which are often not accessible to chemists, process engineers, and managers. ESTIMATe allows non-#LCA experts to perform early-stage Life Cycle Assessment studies of CCU chemicals using Microsoft Excel. ESTIMATe, a user manual, and installation guidance are available for free in a zenodo archive. Check out our article in #GreenChemistry to find out how ESTIMATe supports chemical process development: https://lnkd.in/e-F227jA Many thanks to Bart Vandegehuchte, Benjamin Jaumard, Miriam Schie, Christiane Reinert, Raoul Meys, and André Bardow for the collaboration on ESTIMATe. It has been a pleasure to work with you!
