💻 Webinar: Overcoming challenges for air analysis of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) 📅 18 June 2024 Volatile organic ‘air toxics’ or ‘hazardous air pollutants’ (HAPs) are monitored in many industrial and urban environments as a measure of air quality. They cover a wide range of classes including hydrocarbons, aromatics, halogenated hydrocarbons and oxygenates, ranging in volatility from chloromethane (methyl chloride) to naphthalene. Several national and international standard methods have been developed for air toxics and related applications, including US EPA Method TO-17. Environmental expert Maya Murshak will show how Merit Laboratories use cryogen-free, automated TD to be EPA TO-17 method-compliant for all compound classes without exception.

What to do with all those biosolids? It's becoming a tough question for wastewater plants to answer amid potential new PFAS regulations for biosolids, concerns about their carbon footprint, and the rising cost of treating and transporting them. There's a growing list of new biosolids treatment technologies that could address those problems, but how do you pick the right one for your utility? Hazen has designed a Power BI dashboard that does just that. It covers key details about 36 innovative biosolids technologies such as gasification (shown in the photo) and pyrolysis. And it's just one of a suite of analytical tools we're developing with The Water Research Foundation (WRF) and SYLVIS Environmental Services to help biosolids managers make informed decisions in a rapidly changing biosolids landscape.
