With NIH SBIR Phase II funding, we are hard at work redefining toileting transfers, accelerating "aging in place" initiatives!
The examples used in this article highlight the heightened vulnerability of "toileters" (people who rely on personal assistance to toilet) to understaffing. We are working hard on @The_PPAL to enable them to use their own transfer skills to get on/off a bedside commode, rather than helplessly waiting for someone to assist them. We will be periodically posting updates to our progress here, so feel free to follow!

The best part about this is that laughter really is good medicine. Not only does it reduce stress, it also reduces blood pressure and brings many other benefits too, like diffusing conflict, helping with teamwork and promoting bonding in relationships. 😂😁 👉 Please like and share this important information, and follow us for more on first aid and safety! #StJohnAmbulance #laughteristhebestmedicine #HeartMonth #hearthealth #laughoutloud #laughterheals
