LKY: THE EXPERIENCE: BTS Series Schoolboy Days (Part 3) What's more engaging than a secret entrance behind a cabinet? When we were designing Schoolboy Days, we aimed to create a sense of discovery starting with the entrance to the room, featuring a bookcase sliding door as a transition moment into the classroom. Our goal was to evoke a feeling that visitors were being transported to another world where Lee Kuan Yew was merely a schoolboy in the 1930s. To enhance visitor engagement through gestures, touchpoints, and body movements, we encouraged visitors to explore each school table and discover bite-sized story moments along with corresponding props and details. Fun fact: Lee Kuan Yew was known to have a "mischievous, playful streak" and was once caned for being late to school three times. Helping college counselors master editing (so your students shine) 5x Novelist | Father of twins 👯♂️
How I teach students to open their college essay I ‘promise’ it’s better than yours— The ‘promise’ is a hook that sets the stage, hinting at the insights and reflections to come. It makes the reader invested in what’s going to happen As college counselors, you can help students craft an opening paragraph that sets up the rest of the story. Here’s an example: 1️⃣Opening Sentence: A chill ran down my spine as I stepped into the brightly lit circus tent. 2️⃣Middle Sentence Describing the Fear: The bright colors and exaggerated features of the clown twisted into a nightmarish vision. 3️⃣Final Sentence (The Promise): How did someone with coulrophobia, or the fear of clowns, end up at the circus? Now you can spend the entire essay unraveling the story By teaching students to create that irresistible opening, you empower them to capture admissions officers' attention from the start.

🎓I show parents how to save $50K or more on college by going to college IN high school | Currently building a mansion fort w/my 4 year old 👧
Do you see my bagel twist tie? 👀 🥯 I lose the twist tie to my bagel bag most mornings It’s the same color as the counter I purposefully buy bagels that have a different color twist tie because I know I’ll lose it simply trying to toast a bagel. I wonder how many are on my counter right now? Just waiting to be found. It really is the perfect defense mechanism for them. It’s like a game of ‘Where’s Waldo’ Trying to navigate the path to college can seem like a twist tie camouflaged on your counter. You start down the path and things are looking good (9th, 10th, even 11th grade) but then that path starts getting hidden by everything around it (12th grade) Wanna know a secret? Getting ready for college doesn’t have hide like a bagel twist tie. You can get your child ready for college IN high school by using resources already at your fingerprints. Wanna know another secret, though? The twist tie was never lost. It was the plastic clip on the left, just out of the camera’s view. 💥 #concurrentenrollment #dualenrollment #collegeinhighschool #collegedebt P.S. Hi! 👋 I’m Josh and for 12 years, I’ve worked with thousands of students and parents to get them to graduate from college IN high school, saving them and their families thousands of dollars on the high cost of college by strategically using resources already available but rarely discussed in high school. 1. 👍 I post at 8:30 EST every day so Like & Follow if you need something different for your child’s high school journey 2. 📲 DM me and let’s create a path so they can graduate from college IN high school.

So often can you find a manager trying to correct a behavior and it turns into an indictment of the individual. I’m guilty of having done this too, in the past. It’s a mistake, a BIG mistake. If you want to make a change, and not turnover, help the person YOU hired to correct the behavior! We all run on software, and software can be re-wrttten and updated. Helping your team rewrite theirs when the code is off makes you a leader, not a manager. #BeTheChange #BeALeader #IAmLeader #SyndicateLibrary
