SolarBank intends to develop a 3.15 MW DC ground-mount solar power project on the site (the "Project") that will operate as a community solar project. The Project is expected to be eligible for incentives under the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority ("NYSERDA") NY-Sun Program. ✅Solarbank Corp. has entered into a definitive agreement with Solar Flow-Through Funds Ltd. (SFF) to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of SFF through a plan of arrangement for an aggregate consideration of up to $41.8-million in an all-stock deal. TotalEnergies Powers Up Myrtle Solar Plant in Texas! ☀️🔋 TotalEnergies is proud to announce the commencement of commercial operations at Myrtle Solar, a utility-scale solar farm located south of Houston, Texas. This impressive facility boasts a capacity of 380 MWp of solar production and 225 MWh of co-located batteries, making it a significant contributor to the green energy landscape. With 705,000 #solarpanels spread across an area equivalent to 1,800 American football fields, Myrtle generates enough clean electricity to cover the consumption of 70,000 homes. Recurrent Energy Signs Up Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority as Customer for 160 MW Solar Project Canadian Solar Inc.announced that its subsidiary, Recurrent Energy, has secured $112 million in project financing for the 160 MW  North Fork Solar project, located 100 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. NordLB served as Coordinating Lead Arranger and Joint Lead Arranger, with Rabobank acting as Joint Lead Arranger. The project is set to commence operations in 2024. Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA), serving 42 municipally-owned electric systems in Oklahoma, has signed a 15-year agreement to purchase 100% of the energy generated by North Fork Solar. On Friday, the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC), the state’s regulatory agency, approved 17 solar farms capable of generating 764 megawatts (MW) of clean power for Dominion Energy Virginia, the state’s largest utility. Dominion, which has the second-largest solar fleet in the US, will own or acquire four solar farms totaling 329 MW, and it’s also made 13 power-purchase agreements (PPAs) totaling 435 MW with independently owned solar projects. That’s enough to power nearly 200,000 homes at peak output. The four Dominion-owned solar farms will be 57 MW Beldale Solar in Powhatan County, 95 MW Blue Ridge Solar in Pittsylvania County, 127 MW Bookers Mill Solar in Richmond County, and 50 MW Michaux Solar in Henry and Pittsylvania counties. The construction will support more than 1,600 jobs and generate more than $570 million in economic benefits across Virginia. The solar farms are expected to come online by 2026. Once the new projects are complete, Dominion will have more than 4.6 gigawatts (GW) of approved solar farms in Virginia – enough to power more than 1.1 million homes at peak output. The utility currently delivers electricity to more than 2.5 million homes and businesses in the state. Ed Baine, President of Dominion Energy Virginia, said, “Through our investments in offshore wind, battery storage, and solar, Virginia continues to make progress on its clean energy transition.” According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, Virginia is ranked 11th among states for the installed solar installed and is expected to move up to ninth place in five years. The state currently gets 6.56% of its electricity from solar, and as of December 2023, coal is still its leading source of net electricity generation, followed by natural gas."

EDF Renewables North America recently made headlines when they signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) for a portion of the Bonanza Solar and Storage project. Located in Clark County, Nevada, this carbon-free energy facility features a 125 MWac solar photovoltaic (PV) system and a 65 MW 4-hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). By December 31, 2028, the Bonanza Solar and Storage project will deliver renewable energy to SCPPA's participating members, including Pasadena Water & Power and Azusa Light & Water. Recognizing the significance of safeguarding wildlife habitats and natural resources, the Bonanza Solar and Storage project is working closely with federal and state agencies to minimize potential impacts. During peak construction, the project anticipates creating around 500 new job opportunities.
