We helped the renewable energy producer Sunly get the word out about their fresh €300M debt financing from Rivage Investment, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), and Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP), the largest pension fund in Norway. This funding is earmarked for developing 1.3 GW of solar, wind and hybrid parks across the Baltics and Poland. Sunly’s existing investors include Mirova and EBRD, that provided €200 million in 2023. 🚀 The hybrid parks improve energy production stability across various weather conditions. 🔋 The power can be sold directly to consumers, reducing grid connectivity charges and stabilising energy prices. 🌍 By reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels, Sunly is strengthening energy security in the region. Maine helped the Estonian oversight and process automation fintech Depowise announce its entry into the UK and Ireland. The newly appointed regional MD, Leonid Belov, will lead these markets.   Depowise’s platform replaces Excel in depositaries' daily operations, streamlining compliance, oversight, safekeeping, reporting, and record-keeping tasks, increasing the efficiency of its users by up to 82%. The startup currently manages €800 billion in assets and aims to grow its 5% market share tenfold in the €16.5 trillion domiciled funds market of Luxembourg, Ireland, and the UK. We supported Two Blues Solar in getting the word out about their joint venture with US renewables PE firm True Green Capital Management LLC. This partnership enables Two Blues Solar to deploy up to £100m across 300 on-site solar projects over the next five years. 🏭 Targeting the ‘missed middle’, TBS is focused on energy-intensive businesses with substantial unused roof spaces – such as warehouse operators, manufacturers, and commercial property landlords. 💡 These companies are often overlooked by traditional funding providers as they’re considered too small for conventional Power Purchase Agreements. 🌞 TBS provides capex-free solar installations, helping these businesses cut their energy costs by as much as 60%. Maine secured GScan a platform at the construction industry’s flagship event, the Concrete Expo, connecting them with key industry audiences. Deep-tech company GScan uses naturally occurring cosmic rays to ‘see’ tens of meters inside concrete assets, providing a data-driven, detailed assessment of their structural integrity. Andi Hektor, co-founder of GScan, took to the stage to demonstrate how their non-destructive testing technology optimises infrastructure management through detailed, cost-effective, and safe evaluations of critical structures.
