We do not need a new silver bullet to solve the learning crisis. 🌍📚 In a new #WorldEducationBlog, we highlight three steps to improve learning: commit, measure, iterate. Let’s embrace these key steps to create a future where all children achieve joyful, foundational learning. GEM Report UNESCO, Kirsty Newman, Kirstin Buchanan Read it here 👇
🔴 Globally, 250 million children are out of school, and millions more attend school without learning. This crisis is projected to cost USD 10 trillion annually by 2030. In sub-Saharan Africa, 90% of children cannot read by age 10. Tackling this issue requires more than a one-size-fits-all solution. Effective education depends on how strategies are implemented. Luminos Fund identifies three essential steps to drive student learning outcomes: commit, measure, and iterate. 1️⃣ Commit. Governments and donors must make learning outcomes their top priority. 2️⃣ Measure. The next step is assessing whether students are acquiring foundational skills. Accurate, real-time data is crucial for understanding student progress and making necessary adjustments. 3️⃣ Iterate. Data also guides decisions to enhance learning outcomes. Effective education involves careful research, thoughtful design, disciplined implementation, and continuous iteration. ➡️ Explore more in the #WorldEducationBlog by Dr. Kirsty Newman and Kirstin Buchanan, Luminos Fund: https://bit.ly/4dxu13j
