It's been great to reconnect with the colleagues at #TMTM2024 and #EUTLT2024, where we delved into #RadicalTransparency, setting the stage for a culture of openness and trust at Deutsche Telekom.
During a panel discussion, my colleagues and I were exploring many aspects in this topic. My plea: we should cultivate a culture that prioritizes solving problems over assigning blame, encouraging the open discussion of challenges alongside achievements. This emphasis on constructive feedback and tough discussions will seamlessly boost cross-functional cooperation and personal growth.
The kick-off of the year is, of course, the perfect time to dive further into the execution of our strategy:
🎯 At TMTM I reflected on the Group’s B2C Strategy, aiming to meet customer expectations with simplicity, personalization, and innovation. Our approach involves best converged experience, enhanced engagement through Magenta Moments, and exploring #beyondcore activities.
🌟 For #TeamEurope, the #WinTheirHearts vision continues to guide us as our North Star. However, the rapidly changing environment—marked by economic, political, environmental, and societal challenges, as well as opportunities—calls for a refocus along the lines of scale and synergies. We dedicated a significant part of TLT to the priorities we've set in the areas of growth, transformation and differentiation, and I was glad to share the stage with members of the leadership team to discuss together on the main challenges and action points needed to execute our adapted strategy. A big thank you to my colleagues for sharing their insights!
AI was obviously another prevalent topic during both TMTM and TLT, as we entered the AI era faster than we could notice. Now it’s all about leveraging this fascinating technology for the good of our customers, society and the planet, while mitigating possible risks and building the necessary skills to find the right approach.
Of course, the events were filled with celebrations as well. Both at the TLT and the TMTM, our NatCos were frequently highlighted as key drivers of change for the entire Group, a source of pride validated by numerous internal and external awards. Speaking of awards, our guest Ulrich Klenke delivered an inspiring presentation on our most valuable European brand and shared an impressive figure — 251. This represents the number of brand awards our European teams secured in 2023. What an achievement!
