*WHAT IS REC's GENRE CLUSTER?* https://lnkd.in/e9jtaQgN I've been taking meetings with various music industry people to figure out the best next steps to have REC's epic new album, KITE TO CAMDEN, conquer the world. In one of those meetings, someone used the phrase "genre cluster". I LOVE this, because as a believer that genres are restrictive and often misleading, I know that almost all music falls into many categories. Hence the CLUSTER. What would you say REC's genre cluster is? I call it MULTIPHASIC POWER POP, which is the best way I know to encompass the totality of REC's sound. But that ain't super specific. Electronic textures dominate the soundscape, creating a reverberated atmosphere that complements the song's reflective mood. The use of synth contributes to the track's dreamy and nostalgic ambiance, while the lyrics paint a picture of struggle and hope. --- Let’s be honest, I didn’t write this article—Bridge.audio's auto-description feature did. It crafted the text in just 15 seconds, but getting to this point wasn’t quick. It took several years of analyzing a vast amount of music to understand it well and numerous trials to train our model. So, you could say we weren’t exactly lazy on this, haha 😅 This feature is constantly evolving, becoming more efficient as it goes. I don’t consider it perfect yet (can it ever be?).
