Once again, the International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has confirmed Madonna’s commitment with gold seals of excellence for 14 programs across our hospital system. CARF certifies more than 66,000 programs and services at more than 31,000 locations worldwide. This accreditation means that our team of clinical experts are providing care that meets internationally accepted standards. We have received this prestigious three-year accreditation continuously since 1980. Congrats to everyone who helped make this achievement possible! We were so excited we brought out some balloons and confetti to celebrate!
With #christianmccaffrey traveling to Germany to seek a second opinion, I have been flooded with questions about why he would go there. Well, there are pros...and cons to receiving healthcare outside the USA.
Travis Reed recorded an episode with me to discuss his trials and tribulations with his injuries while enjoying a very successful basketball career overseas. Take a listen and gain some first hand insight into how things are different. Also, check out our latest edition of Inside the Medical Tent for my take on why CMC went to Germany. I couldn’t have said it better than Anna Khanna, so I borrow her words to express the surreal moment of having the honor of meeting Dr. Grotta and giving him a tour of our own Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit. “Today is the landmark day only this crew and Christina Wilson can understand the meaning behind this photo. Dr. Jim Grotta, the pioneer behind the first mobile unit in US and a true legend in stroke care leading back to the original tPA trial. In this photo he is here with our truck, the most humbling experience a true attestation of stroke care transcending decades.”

"Last week, I had an incredible time presenting at the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) Research to Practice Conference. It was a privilege to be invited to speak alongside esteemed colleagues.
This was the first year the program hosted a topic dedicated to Occupational Rehabilitation, which is a huge testament to the collective efforts of our industry. Thanks to all who made this possible! #ESSAConference#OccupationalRehab#ExercisePhysiology"
Let's give another 'round of applause for one of our Directors, Joseph Squadrito! 👏 Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) recently invited him to share insights at their National conference.
Joined by a mix of international and local experts, academics, and passionate professionals, Joseph delved into the Exercise Physiologist's Role in Compensable Psychological Injury. He shed light on the important role EPs play in empowering individuals navigating psychological injury within compensable schemes.
Thanks for having us Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA). We love what you do!
