After last night's #Superbowl ad onslaught, it feels like a great time to remind everyone why shopping for #toys on #temu is never the way to go. In September, I analyzed dozens of toys found on Temu, looked at hundreds of product listings, and even bought a few products to compare them to the toys they were blatantly knocking off. In addition to all of the issues with their labor practices and data mining, Temu is full of counterfeit toys that are potentially unsafe for kids. No reputable toy companies list or sell their products on Temu. Many toys do not have any proof of safety testing, and so many listings use the work of reputable toy makers in their marketing without permission. It's stealing. It's illegal. And, most importantly, it puts our children at risk. Read the full article on The Toy Insider for more, and thank you to Joan Lawrence, Lisa Guili, Mark Carson, and Dr. Asad Khan for your insights! https://lnkd.in/ezn-6Mph

I’ve been wondering about Temu and others like it. Great article Marissa Silva. As a supplier in the children's toy industry, it's crucial to address a growing concern: the proliferation of alleged counterfeit toys on platforms like Temu. While the appeal of rock-bottom prices is undeniable, the true cost might be higher than we think. Temu, known for its unbeatable deals across toys, apparel, and more, has come under scrutiny for allegedly listing counterfeit products, including toys that mimic those from reputable brands, without adhering to safety and quality standards. A case in point involves alleged counterfeit versions of popular toys like Educational Insights's Kanoodle and Fat Brain Toys' dimpl digits, sold at a fraction of their retail price. These knock-offs not only deceive consumers with false advertising but also bypass critical U.S. safety standards for toys, posing significant risks to children. The issue extends beyond the immediate dangers of unsafe products. Counterfeit toys often result from unethical labor practices and compromise on quality and durability. Such practices can have a lasting impact on brand reputation and consumer trust. In our commitment to safety and quality, we urge consumers to purchase toys from trusted retailers and manufacturers. Investing in genuine products ensures that children receive safe, high-quality toys that foster learning and development. Let's prioritize the well-being of our children and support ethical manufacturing practices. Together, we can make a difference in the toy industry. #ToySafety #EthicalManufacturing #SupportGenuineProducts #ThinAirBrands

Flashback to 2021: We made a sweet remix ad formula for our client, Gibson Guitars. Let me tell you a little story... Back then, we experimented with different ad formats for them - videos, images, carousels. But guess which one rocked the stage? 🎥 Video ads! They weren't just catchy; they sold those high-end guitars like hotcakes. Here's the kicker: we directed fans to a landing page with all the premium guitars (think $1000+), and guess what? Sales went through the roof! 🚀 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀. 20 years of growing brands with edutainment • My newsletter shows you how • My studio does it for you
What’s the best ad ever made? Here’s a hint: – It didn’t appeal to everyone – It didn’t dazzle you with cleverness – It didn’t need a flash sale or ‘killer offer’ Here’s what folks miss… The “best” ad differs for everybody: → It knows WHAT they want → It knows HOW they want to see it → It’s remarkable to them specifically It’s the difference between the ad everyone talks about, And the ad that your target market still thanks you for. Which sounds better to you? (P.S. here's some progress of another video short 🥳)
