A Serendipitous Reunion: Meeting an Accomplished Former Student
Recently, I had the pleasure of a chance encounter with my former student, Mr. Gurjit Singh Saini on the streets of Shirdi. This brief, unplanned meeting was a heartwarming reminder of the enduring bonds between a teacher and a student.
Gurjeet, now the Head of Program Management at Gensol Engineering - Electric Vehicles Division in Pune, Maharashtra, was a standout figure during his time as the placement coordinator at Kohinoor Business School. Witnessing his professional growth and success is a testament to the dedication and hard work he exhibited as a student.
My tenure at Kohinoor Business School was marked by numerous roles: A Teacher, placement incharge and mentor in extracurricular activities. But, beyond these roles, it was about nurturing future leaders like Gurjeet. This encounter brought back cherished memories of my time at Kohinoor, a place that provided me with a platform to influence and shape the careers of many ambitious students.
I am immensely grateful to Shri Unmesh Joshi ji, Managing Director of the Kohinoor Group, for the opportunity to be a part of such a vibrant educational community. Our paths may diverge, but the connections made and lessons imparted endure.
Gurjeet's journey from a proactive student at Kohinoor to a leader in the burgeoning field of electric vehicles is inspiring. It underscores the value of education and mentorship in shaping the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
This impromptu reunion with Gurjeet is a reaffirmation of the power of education and the lasting impact teachers can have on their students. It's a beautiful aspect of teaching – witnessing your students evolve into successful professionals and knowing you played a part in their journey.
