Earth.Org states a truck full of clothes ends up in a landfill site every second... Shopping pre-loved (also known as second hand) is one of the best ways to combat this alarming stat. eBay UK has partnered with British Vogue as part of the Forces for Change initiative, to host a pre-loved designer charity auction with all proceeds going to Canopy — an environmental nonprofit organisation that protects the world’s forests while acting as a catalyst for more sustainable supply chains. It's partnerships like these that make me proud to work for eBay. Two global brands amplifying the importance of sustainability through topics such as pre-loved fashion and making an impact while doing so. ♻ Read more: https://lnkd.in/gpibMwpp and bid before 10 am GMT, Feb 26. #Preloved #Apparel #Sustainability #CircularEconomy

As we approach the weekend.... Does your organisation require branded polo shirts? Would you prefer to save some from landfill, over creating completely new t shirts from scratch (think of the environmental impacts!)? Wouldn't your staff and customers LOVE the idea that you have re-used existing unused polo shirts, showcasing your ethical and sustainable values? I am still looking for a partner for this project - a business who is willing to step out of the box and work to upcycle t shirts than simply go to a merch supplier and ordering a bunch without consideration for impacts. Please do get in touch if this could be your organisation! Have a great weekend. #circularity #circulareconomy #wastenotwantnot #upcycle #landfill #bethechange #csr #corporatesocialresponsibility #responsiblebusiness

Calling right minded organisations looking for merch and uniform…. Here’s a great opportunity for you and the planet! Instead of buying a whole load of new polo shirts and other stuff, why not work with me at Where Does It Come From? to upcycle unwanted items so they fit your requirements? A business has just offered us a quantity of unworn adult polo shirts in different sizes and colours - shall we repurpose them and make them yours? They are currently branded with a small embroidered logo so would need rebranding. What a great story for your employees and PR! Please get in touch to discuss - our client would especially love to work with a charity on this project but all ideas considered. The image below is from a project where we repurposed t shirts for electric vehicle business Wyre. T shirts that had been printed with a spelling error (#freebrittany instead of #freebritney!) were overprinted with the required graphic. Qudos to Rebecca Hansen of Wyre for working with us to create sustainable merch and to Mark and Colette from RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries) who handled the overprinting. I wear the scars of many years taking brands to market, and along with my co-founders knew there was a better way to do this through technology. Using our experiences and knowledge we created Alvio: The eCom Partner Platform to help brands collaborate without the risks and costs normally associated with traditional B2B partnerships 💡 This time last year around 20% of brands joining Alvio had a pre-formed partnership already in place, with the majority needing help to get started. Well, a lot has changed in the last 12 months, and with eCom brand partnerships becoming a "thing", and Alvio providing the solution, over 60% of brands joining our platform have a partnership already pre-formed 📈 and this % continues to grow by the month. The collaboration below between Bare Kind Socks | B Corp and Calla Ltd is one such example of two quality brands coming together.....and you couldn't get a better than pairing quality socks and shoes. A lovely partnership formed between Lucy Jeffrey and Jennifer Bailey #strongertogether #brandpartnerships #JustAlvioIt
Today’s #Alvio partnership announcement is… 🥁 Bare Kind Socks | B Corp and Calla Ltd! 🎉 These two brands go together like... well, like socks and shoes! It's a bit of a no-brainer, really. Bare Kind offers beautiful, soft and comfy bamboo socks. They have a firm focus on animal welfare, with 10% of the profits from each pair sold going to animal conservation efforts! 🐝 ❤️ Calla, who we introduced just recently, makes shoes dedicated to delivering comfort. Handmade in Portugal, Calla Shoes cater especially to ladies who might have struggled to find the perfect footwear in other places. 👟 👠 👢 This collab ecom partnership is a real treat for your feet – and with a positive footprint in the environment too, what's not to love? 🚀 #ecom #ecommercepartnership #footwear #shoes #socks #womenswear #clothing #collabecom #partnerships

Here are some closet organization hacks from Vector Moving✨ to help you get your wardrobe in tip-top shape👇🏻 ✅ Empty out your closet and say goodbye to any items that haven’t been worn or used in a year or so (yep, hard but necessary). ✅ Any clothing that is stained or torn can be thrown away or repurposed as rags. ✅ Clothes that aren’t being worn but are still in decent shape can be sold or donated. ✅ Get resourceful and find any unused hooks, baskets, bins, or other supplies laying around the house that you think may come in handy for organizing. Hooks are perfect for hanging frequently used outerwear and scarves🧣. Baskets and bins work great for small purses, lingerie, or sock storage. And shoes👟 can be kept on floating shelves stacked floor to ceiling in a corner. Share this video with a friend if the life hacks were helpful🫶🏻

I've been working in the outdoor industry for a while now and possess plenty of what I would describe as vintage kit. Some of the gear even dates back to the latter part of the era that will be covered in 'Mountain Style - British Outdoor Clothing 1953-2000', a new book that Henry Iddon and Max Leonard are raising money to publish over on Kickstarter at https://lnkd.in/eSCec4cr. Unsurprisingly, most of my outdoor wardrobe is by Berghaus Ltd and I'm fortunate to possess some iconic products by the brand. However, I also have a few other classics kicking around from my earlier days as a Scout, Venture Scout and backpacker, including a Karrimor Joe Brown rucksack (which I bought - already well used - for £5 from my Scout leader Paul Unsworth), a North Cape fleece, and a Caravan sleeping bag. Karrimor is still around (sort of), but North Cape and Caravan are no more. I purchased my Caravan sleeping bag with money given to me on my 18th birthday. It still gets used by the Lines family today and is in remarkably good condition. In fact, all of the kit in the photo is in great nick and if I decided to put it to the test again, I’m sure that every item would perform too, which is pretty impressive, and says a lot about build quality. And yes, the jackets still fit! 'Mountain Style' has been a long time in the making and has involved years of meticulous, very thorough research. In a small way, I helped Henry by connecting him to colleagues at Berghaus, through whom he could access the archives. And of course, I shared some of my own insights and material with him. The book is a passion project for Henry and Max, but also an important one for the industry that I've been fortunate to work in for so long. It chronicles key product developments that were crucial in shaping the sector for half a century. Those mavericks, innovators and engineers who pioneered through product, were responsible for forging many careers. They helped countless people to enjoy adventures in the outdoors, and they created a rich seam of storied, authentic gear that the sector would do well to refer to on a regular basis. That heritage is powerful and deep and it echoes loudly through the years, which is why there are particular brands that still mean so much to so many folk today. In finding a route for the future of the outdoor industry, we should reflect on what came before, and on the people, attitudes and processes that so distinctively shaped what we are custodians of today. Henry and Max’s book can play an influential role in this, so I hope that it gets the support that it needs on Kickstarter, and earns the opportunity to become required reading for anyone making their way in the outdoor industry. #outdoors #outdoorindustry #productinnovation

Reminder: you deserve a bigger closet Because let’s face it, there’s no such thing as too many shoes right?! 👠 Or maybe you’ve got a collection of jeans that would make even JLo jealous. Whatever your style, one thing is for sure — cramped closets are so last season and it’s definitely time for an upgrade 💯 Maybe that upgrade is starting over in a new house WITH a bigger closet (just say the word and I’m all in! 📲 😘) Or maybe it’s as simple as some spring cleaning. I mean there’s no confidence boost quite like clearing out the clutter, donating, and opening up space for NEW. Shopping 🛍️ lol You know what they say, a closet reflects a person’s self-expression and creativity. ✨ So let’s pop it back to the top of the priority list and shed away those layers of the past, what do ya say? Time to tackle the chaos, clear the clutter, and embrace the magic of new beginnings… 🌸 Cheers! p.s. that is my actual closet lol However, now that I reside in Naples, flip-flops are my go to 😂 staple footwear Letterboard #292 #quotes #springvibes #motivation #inspiration #creativity #loanofficer #homeownership #humor #alwaysbeclosing #newbeginnings
