Is it too early to mention Christmas?! As it is fast approaching, we don’t want anyone to miss out on RBLI’s Christmas Fair. Taking place on Saturday 16th November in Capel Morris Community Centre in Aylesford, this fair not only raises vital funds to support our veterans, but it is also a great community event. With a school choir, Tommy-bola stall, and even a visit from the big guy himself, make sure you put it in your diary so not to miss it! #rbli #tommy #supportforveterans #itsbeginningtolookalotlike #christmas #fair #community

Improving lives every day Supporting the veterans, people with disabilities & people back into work
About us
Established in 1919, Royal British Legion Industries is a leading military charity providing employment, welfare, and homes to veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants; as well as people with disabilities and those who have been long-term unemployed. Our ‘STEP-IN’ programme provides emergency support for vulnerable people at risk of immediate danger such as alcohol and substance addiction, homelessness or serious mental health concerns. RBLI’s welfare support team provide a full rehabilitation process by guiding those who need it into rehab and supporting them with counselling, housing and employment based at RBLI’s Mountbatten Pavilion in Aylesford. Building trusted and supportive relationships with every veteran is at the heart of what we do, and with proven results in just 12 months, our award-winning Lifeworks courses provide the tools and techniques required to help veterans and their families find employment no matter what their circumstance. RBLI’s market-leading Social Enterprise factories, Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company and Scotland’s Bravest Manufacturing Company create employment opportunities for veterans and those with disabilities. Both factories supply unique rail and road signage as well as wooden products, print and mail services and fulfilment.

Last week a group of veteran sign makers from Britain's Bravest Manufacturing Company were fortunate to be invited to see the Rolls-Royce space at their Aerospace campus. Earlier this summer, former Army aircraft technician Robert Kemp represented Rolls-Royce during an event for #Defence companies with The D Group. He kindly invited our veterans and colleagues on a knowledge sharing mission. It was a really rewarding experience to learn about the manufacturing and testing processes for their jet engines, as well as to see the historic planes they have on site. This Spitfire is an original plane which flew on reconnaissance missions as part of Operation Crossbow during World War Two. Thanks to all the team at Rolls-Royce for making us feel so welcome – a very exciting start to our activities. #Skills #LearningExchange #DisabilityEmployment #Partnership #VeteranNetwork Alistair (Steg) Williams Seumas Kerr CBE Julie Brettell Andy Start Steve Rowbotham Samantha Wren Dr Glenn Kelly Darran Cornhill

The Battle of Trafalgar took place in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Spain on October 21 1805 and was a pivotal moment in the Napoleonic wars that helped establish Britain as the dominant naval power. Although around 1,500 British seamen were injured or killed, including Admiral Horatio Nelson himself, no British ships were lost and the battle scuppered Napoleon’s plans to invade England. #rbli #tommy #supportforveterans #BattleOfTrafalgar #royalnavy #remember

On October 19 1914, Allied forces commenced the first of three battles with the Germans to take charge of Ypres’ beneficial positioning during World War I. A key battle in the “Race to the Sea”, a violent period of combat ensued with heavy losses on both sides in a region that was to witness some of the war’s most brutal battles over the next several years. #rbli #tommy #supportforveterans #BattleOfYpres #WWI #remember

Today, we were delighted to welcome Alistair Carns OBE MC MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Minister for Veterans and People, to our Centenary Village. After meeting some of our amazing veterans, the Minister announced an incredible £1 million grant for our expansion of the Centenary Village. This significant investment will accelerate the construction of additional housing and support RBLI's mission to support more veterans. #rbli #tommy #supportforveterans #centenaryvillage #grant #thankyou #impact

Another fantastic Highways UK event well underway on day two with loads of networking opportunities and chances to meet up with existing and new customers about their signage needs. This event is always an important one in our calendar for bringing social value to the National Highways supply chain and our very own Geoff Streetley joined a Sustainability panel with around half the audience saying that they buy their signs from a social enterprise. We would love to make this 100% so please come down to stand 181 and see how your business with us can make an impact on veterans. #rbli #tommy #supportforveterans #bbmc #britainsbravest #employment #signage #socialvalue
