I had an opportunity yesterday to address Class XI and Class XII students of SANTHANAM VIDHYALAYA(CBSE). I was asked to introduce 'Strategic Thinking' to the students. With the help of Thiruvalluvar, examples of companies that I use in my classes and personal experiences, I talked about five key elements of strategy - 1. Creating Value, 2. Delivering Value, 3. Defending Value, 4. Distributing Value, and 5. Renewing Value. It was great to meet a bunch of bright young students who were eager to listen, learn and engage. The summary slides are share here. Learning the art of communication from my ongoing classes. As our sir Nakul Baswala guiding all over about communication and it's importance in aur life. Many important points we get to know from our sir that we have to look in our daily life. 1.Knowing your audience is the first step to effective communication. It would be beneficial if you tailored your message to the individual or group you were speaking with. Be aware of their history, information, and expectations. 2.Communicate clearly and succinctly by keeping your points brief and to the point. Refrain from employing jargon or other technical terms that could confuse your viewers. For efficient communication, choose language that is simple and clear. 3.Communication is a two-way process, so pay attention. Speaking is vital, but so is carefully listening to what the other person is saying. Asking questions, refining your comprehension, and giving acceptable answers are all ways to demonstrate your interest. The art of praxis. "Praxis" has been a word that I continue to have a beautiful relationship with. It's a way of life that believes action is rooted in theory and can only be strengthened through thorough reflection. My time at Azim Premji University helped me explore this by weaving their brilliant philosophy of praxis in their curriculum. This led me to my Action Research Project on "How to Build Reflection as a Practice in Teachers" The last 8 years has been a vibrant journey in unpacking this for myself as an Educator and Trainer. A huge shout out to my first LC at Teach For India that gave me an opportunity to really explore this idea on the field during my time there as a Program Manager. As many of you might know, my fear of putting myself in spaces such as LinkedIn has stopped me many times before. But, theory and reflection without practice/action is just academic elitism and I want to be able to step away from that. Over the next few weeks, I hope to share with you 10 stories that demonstrated the Art of Praxis over the last 10 years of my professional journey.
