Value Proposition: I Help Meeting and Event Planners to deduce the actual value of the RPFs they are soliciting from audio visual providers so that they can have the most dollar cost savings, reducing waste through overbilling and hiring a transparent team that will provide more value than expense on a daily basis.
Someone said to me the other day, hey Chris your new venture sounds great but what do you actually do? I stumbled for a second and then, this came out of my mouth and its true! I Help Meeting and Event Planners to deduce the actual value of the RPFs they are soliciting from audio visual providers so that they can have the most dollar cost savings, reducing waste through overbilling and hiring a transparent team that will provide more value than expense on a daily basis.

I've had many odd jobs since a young age, including helping market my friend's parent's restaurant and working the counter in middle school. At 14, I was bussing tables after school at Satellite High. By 15, I was running food at a popular restaurant in Cocoa Beach. When I turned 18, I got my first bartending job, studied acting and film, saved as much money as I could, and at 19 years old, moved to Los Angeles, CA. From there, I slept on couches, shared rooms with multiple roommates, worked in food/bar service at night, and volunteered on student film sets during the day at USC's MFA Film Program, the country's #1 film school. I stacked my resume with USC film projects, earning the equivalent respect and education as a graduate without paying a penny of the tuition. Around the age of 22, my hard work was recognized, and I was recruited to start working professionally in film production. I worked professionally in film, television, and music videos for the rest of my time in LA as an Assistant Director, on track to become a Producer. When COVID hit, I moved back home to Brevard County, Florida. From the moment I moved back home in 2020, I never missed a beat. Using the skills of hard work, connecting, entrepreneurship, and leading teams, I started again. Skills stack and will be used for your next mission. It's not starting over if you're starting from experience. Embrace change, learn, pivot, and grow. I copy and paste the skills I needed to survive the film industry to thrive in other industries. Everything leads up to what's next. Trust the process.

Let's say you're a hiring manager. What's more valuable in a candidate? A street hustler's mentality or a formal education? This opening line from TI really set the tone for this trailer. All I had to do was make the edit FEEL as BIG as TI. Here's the good news: I had a lot to work with. The dope car scene. The big board room. TI walking into the elevator. What made everything work? My hustler's mentality combined up with all the formal education I've taken to be an editor. So, what's more valuable? A street hustler's mentality or a formal education? You need both to be a dope editor. Be Creative. Your Ideas Are Waiting.

📹 Take a look at another internal video I produced at Riot: an in-depth documentary about Star Guardian Akali’s voiceover, featuring an interview with voice actor Ashly Burch 🎙 This documentary was a significant highlight in my Riot career, allowing me to interview Ashly Burch and five craft experts within Riot’s creative department. I had been searching for a video idea to showcase Riot's VO team when Alyssa L. Gentile Drum told me about Star Guardian Akali's VO, a perfect case study for cross-discipline collaboration. 💡 The Pitch: I proposed a longer documentary to delve deeper into the VO process at Riot, featuring VO, sound design, writing & editing crafts. The longer format allowed me to interview even more craft experts about Riot’s VO process from start to end. Recognizing the challenge of maintaining viewer engagement for longer internal communication videos, I partnered with Valerie Surrett to premiere the video at a Riot campus screening, followed by a Q&A session hosted by me. 🖋 Aligning on the narrative: Early pre-interviews and constant communication between myself and the interviewees were crucial to ensure the documentary went beyond celebrating the final product. Strategically, we wanted to use this opportunity to educate the rest of the department on the nuances of the Riot VO process from casting to release using Star Guardian Akali as a case study. Check out the final clips from the doc below (link in comments to visit my portfolio to see more stills from the entire doc). Shot by: Zachary Dripps Edited by: Jason A Pearlman Produced & Directed by: Me (Ashley Martens Montgomery), Zachary Dripps & Ben Boas Interviewees: Alyssa L. Gentile Drum, Nick Lanza, River Jaffe, Nicholas Werner, Julian Samal & Ashly Burch 🚀 #ContentProducer #VideoProduction #Documentary #CreativeInsights #BehindTheScenes #GameDevelopment #InternalCommunications #Communications #KnowledgeSharing #OpenToWork #LookingForWork 🎬 *Selected clips are cut from the full-length video to respect confidentiality with Riot

Things I love about being a Studio Manager: 1. No two days are ever the same. One day, I might be making sure a client has everything they need on set, designing a bonkers new set the next day, and then planning the week ahead for our post-production team. 🖋 2. Building relationships with clients is a big part of the job. I love getting to know people, so it's right up my street. 👥 3. Seeing our talented team bring our projects to life is always super fun. 🖱 4. Being on set is a blast. If you’ve worked with us at Dead Pixel, you know we're a fun bunch, and our time on set is no different. 🕺 5. I'm the office feeder. Doing our weekly snack run to keep everyone’s bellies full and cravings satisfied is key to keeping us productive. 🍫 What do you love about your job?

Venture Building | Startup Studios | Private Alternative Funds | GP Stakes| Venture Capital | Real Estate | ALTS for all
I don't know of any Startup Studios that do this, but it's something that I've been considering for years. Investor committees. Kind of like board members but for different aspects of the Studio's operations. For instance, the biggest tasks of the Studio are funding/raising on the port co level and hiring CEO's to take over the port co's. So, you'd have a fundraising committee where a board of peer can help the Studio with resources, ideas, referrals, intros etc. Then you could have an executive hiring committee offering the same type of help for hiring CEO's and putting together boards for each port co. 1. I wonder if big check writers at the Studio Hold Co. level would be interested in being this involved? 2. Does the democratization of Studio Ops like this work or is it a case of too many Chef's in the Kitchen? 3. Why build a committee when the Studio can just hire 1 person for each of these roles? I'm on the fence about this approach, so I'd like to hear what you all think.
