Today, we had the privilege to join the World Health Organization at the Europe Innovation Ecosystem for Public Health forum in Copenhagen. 🌍 We participated in a panel session moderated by Natasha Azzopardi Muscat, Director, Division of Country Health Policies and Systems, WHO Regional Office for Europe. 💬 During the session, we delved into the policy implications of health innovation and explored collaboration opportunities with WHO and other stakeholders to integrate innovative health solutions into public health policies across Europe. 💡 We also shared insights on how EIT Health fosters stakeholder engagement and collaboration to drive positive health outcomes through innovative approaches, while addressing key challenges in the process. 🤝 "To support health innovation and policy integration, we need a neutral platform bringing stakeholders together to share ideas, challenges, and identify solutions. So similar… yet so different… This week our Healthcare executives Anette Damgaard, Michala Fischer-Hansen and Gorka Vigara de Otazu together with Jakob Riis and I had the chance go meet in Colombia and share perspective and knowledge around healthcare services. Healthcare in Colombia 🇨🇴 is done somewhat different, however the cost for pr person is around $500, yet the quality of the system are at standards that are at similar to Europe, with needs that are universal❤️. In Denmark for comparison we have cost of around $6,000 pr person. So how can Colombia have that level of healthcare at this cost level. Yes there is a cost of living, but what I found most different is the hunt for efficiencies as there is no more money to put in the system. This is where private & public innovation really is at a fundamental different level than what I see in Europe. The cost os healthcare is on the rise everywhere, how we solve it is with great partnerships. 🤝 Apart from this I thank the Latam team for having us and sharing ideas and issues. 🙏 #Falck #healthcare
