[...]Moreover, Little Simz's videos are a striking blend of narrative and fashion, using style as a powerful tool to enhance her message. The fashion in her videos is not just aesthetic but a form of expression and resistance, adding layers of meaning to her decolonizing efforts. By integrating fashion into her storytelling, she redefines cultural identity and proposes new ways of understanding the world. This crisis is not just a challenge but also an opportunity to reconsider and reinvent how we understand and narrate our experiences. Through a critical exploration of the relationship between narrative, identity, and cultural expression, we can hope to find new ways of understanding and constructing meaning in contemporary society.

“What does it take to change an entire industry?” 🌺 Last month during a trip to London I checked out the Naomi:In Fashion exhibit at the V&A Museum highlighting famed supermodel Naomi Campbell—a trailblazer who transformed fashion through her authenticity, resilience, and undeniable influence. Her legacy isn’t just about walking the runway—it’s about breaking barriers and redefining representation. Key takeaways: 1️⃣ Timeless Vision & Authenticity: Naomi’s influence goes beyond trends—she’s always stayed true to herself. How can we, as creatives, build legacies rooted in authenticity? 2️⃣ The Power of Representation: Naomi’s journey paved the way for greater diversity in an industry that often resisted change. Her success is a reminder of how important representation is, both on and off the runway. 3️⃣ Collaboration Fuels Innovation: Behind every defining moment in fashion is a team of artists, designers, and visionaries. It’s a reminder that innovation thrives when great minds come together. Her journey reminds us all that true change happens when we challenge norms and create space for new voices. How can we continue pushing for diversity and inclusivity in every industry?

Creative Fashion Designer | Expert in Collection Conceptualization, Design, and Production Management.
This year I have discovered that I'm fully passionate about how fashion trends and politics share a dynamic relationship, reflecting about the social values, ideologies, and power dynamics. Throughout history, clothing has been utilized as a tool for political expression, symbolizing identity, protest, or allegiance. Political figures leverage fashion to convey authority and establish a visual narrative, while activists use attire to challenge norms and advocate for change. From symbology to diplomatic statements, the fashion serves as a visual language of politics, mixing both: individual expression and collective identity. It's all about make us have a specific aesthetics, to shape narratives and merge the perceptions within the political landscape. What do you think about it?
