This year I have discovered that I'm fully passionate about how fashion trends and politics share a dynamic relationship, reflecting about the social values, ideologies, and power dynamics. Throughout history, clothing has been utilized as a tool for political expression, symbolizing identity, protest, or allegiance. Political figures leverage fashion to convey authority and establish a visual narrative, while activists use attire to challenge norms and advocate for change. From symbology to diplomatic statements, the fashion serves as a visual language of politics, mixing both: individual expression and collective identity. It's all about make us have a specific aesthetics, to shape narratives and merge the perceptions within the political landscape. What do you think about it?

Fashion’s foundations are built on continuous change through capitalism’s need of constant consumption and the never-ending project of self-improvement; one feeds the other. We need to keep changing ourselves to ‘fit in’, to feel relevant, to come across as professional – to, quite literally, clothe ourselves into being. Why do we keep unhelpful ideas about body hatred alive in our work, and how does that impact those around us? We had a conversation with Clare Chambers,  the Cambridge professor who wrote the book Intact: A Defence of the Unmodified Body, to explore how the body is often seen as needing improvement or change:
