📺️ #VIDEO What are the “CD roads” that will be opening as part of the Broadway Curve reconstruction project on I-10? Collector-Distributor (CD) roads separate through traffic from local traffic entering and exiting I-10 through the Broadway Curve area. They will collect traffic from the Interstate 10 mainline, State Route 143 and US 60, and distribute it to crossroads or other highways. There are no traffic signals on the CD roads and the speed limit will be 55 miles per hour. This will reduce the need for vehicles to weave between lanes and help keep traffic flowing on I-10. #Prop400atWork Video courtesy of ADOT.

Need to Know • Congestion Pricing Scanners Debut on Broadway, As Lawsuit Looms New York’s long-running campaign to raise billions of dollars for transit upgrades by tolling motorists driving into the most car-clogged parts of Manhattan is taking shape in the form of vehicle-identifying scanners at West 60th Street and Broadway — tangible proof of what awaits motorists as soon as next spring. The installation of E-Z Pass readers and license plate-scanning cameras similar to those already in use at approaches to the MTA’s nine bridges and tunnels marks a significant step for the Central Business District Tolling Program, which the Federal Highway Administration signed off on in late June after years of delays. Tolling devices will be installed at an estimated 120 detection points, and some have already been spotted at West 61st Street and West End Avenue. The tolling zone will extend south from 60th Street, except for vehicles driving through using the FDR Drive, the West Side Highway and the Battery Park underpass. @megwalhimerrealestate @carlaslocum @robgodbyjr @carolynlevitannyc @nicksmith09 @amandasandersnyc @staceyfroelichteam @henryweinstock.nyc @abbyz411 - #StaceyFroelichTeam #CompassAgents #CompassNY #AgentsOfCompass #NYC #NewYorkCity #NYCRealEstate #NewYorkCityRealEstate #NYCApartments #SellNYC #BuyNYC #NYCLife #NewYorkNewYork #NYRealEstate #NYRealEstateAgent #NYCRealEstate #SellingYourApartment #SellingNYCApartments #NYCApartment #Monolith #Windowlessbuildings

In an unconventional move, pedestrians at a crosswalk entrance to Granville Island in Vancouver are encouraged to grab foam bricks to enhance their visibility to drivers. This April Fools' Day campaign by Vision Zero Vancouver aims to draw attention to pedestrian safety concerns, particularly at the Anderson Street crosswalk. The initiative responds to ongoing issues with speeding vehicles and numerous crashes, some resulting in injuries or fatalities. Despite efforts to improve safety, challenges remain due to visibility issues caused by nearby structures. While the city has made some enhancements, such as lowering speed limits and adding markings, further measures like flashing pedestrian signals are in progress. However, long timelines for installation underscore ongoing safety challenges in the area. 👉 Follow Nikita Sharma such insightful posts!❣🙏😍 👉 Also #Subscribe to my weekly #Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/dD9ekf3V VC: Credit goes to the original creator, no copyright intended 🙏 #gowithnikita #nikitainfluencer #nikitasharma #knowledgesharing #professionalservices #linkedinforcreators #linkedinlearning #linkedincommunity #linkedinexpert #linkedinads

Quite often, especially in public discourse, we tend to oversimplify issues and and rules and see them as merely as white or black, true or false, good or bad, etc. However the reality is almost always much more complicated, with lots of invisible layers, edge cases and whatnot. No vehicles in the park is a great example of how simple rules, or even laws, get complicated real quick: novehiclesinthepark dot com https://lnkd.in/dnE42nvK

#LEDTrafficSigns Road signs with LEDs grab the driver’s attention and help illuminate the message. They are often found at #schools, on #worksites, or at places where #driver and #pedestrian #safety is of vital importance. Generally, 6-8 clusters of high-intensity flashing white LEDs will surround the edges of the aluminum sign, extending the visibility. Directional light is most often used with LED signage, where the light is directed horizontally towards the recipient. Viewing directional light straight on will provide much more brightness than at an angle, so it may be important to understand the usage you’re looking to get out of your sign, so that you may mount and angle them appropriately.
