Last week, I took part in a panel discussion about Intersectional Realities as a leader in Tech mobile.de It was amazing to see such a diverse crowd, filled with allies and diverse leaders and talents in tech. We had an open conversation about the struggles you can face if more than one diversity dimension creates an invisible barrier for you in your career. It was great to talk with you on stage, Vlore Krug & Andrea Romero Ortega, and learn about your journeys. Some key takeaways we had: 💡 It is important to have safer spaces in your work environment; places where people who are part of minority groups can talk about their careers and challenges. 💡 We should think about our own privileges; everyone has them. This way, we can learn to change our personal perspective and perception of others. 💡 In order to create an inclusive environment for everyone at work, we have to understand that we are all within the structures of our society. We should not only focus on attracting diverse talents but also understand that how we evaluate talents needs to become more diverse as well.

What a celebration it was! It's been a long journey, and I'm confident that there's even more to come. Let's embrace our intersections and shine brightly with them! Thank you to one of my best friends and brilliant professional, Marilyn Nowacka, for nominating me and encouraging me to join mobile.de Austin Fraser
